I don't know if I mentioned anything about my cousin being a magician. But he is, and he is damn good. Anyway, he doesn't like this site. He is over at Theory11. I was doing some magic with him at a party, and when he told me to watch a specific trick, I was stunped. Here is the link...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6kn2MKlnAI&eurl=http://media.theory11.com/1015-Switch-Blade

He won't tell me if he made it, or if he bought it anywhere. If anyone knows how it is done please tell me.

I know what you mean by that, by yeah he is my cousin, and he takes me to most of his shows. I usually see him at family gatherings, and every once in a while he comes over just to visit, or like I said, his shows. He showed me that vanish in the beginning a little bit before he got his career started. I figured it out, so he added to it. And now I feel like a complete fool.

He won't tell me. At first that effect was just a simple vanish, then he added the stabbing part to confuse me.

lol.
did criss angel have a kid?
or did he magically clone himself.

i like the trick.
i think i got it though.
because if you watch closely the card is already on the switchblade before its even close to the door which means it was palmed behind the blade

Don't you have to throw all the cards at the window to do that? I don't know how it's done, so i'm just wondering, I saw the preview.

Good point. I have seen a thread a long time ago about an effect similar to this, but the card couldn't be signed. I could think of possibilities of this effect if it have a duplicate, but it's a signed card.

seymourmagic

It was a erdnase color change but the card that covered the selection was face down, so you cant see the selection.

i think it was a gimmick attached to the card because if u look when the lady is signing the card he hides the deck from view

atually i cant figure it out, i watched that video quite a fw times and even played it in slow mo, that card just suddenly apears....and i mean literally just appears out of no where. one second its just a plain white door the next second there is a card stuck to it and thats even bfore he stabs it. that card appears there just as he draws his hand back. and i honestly have no idea how he gts it there. it seriously looks like a camera trick its so visual and clean. i just dont know hw he gets that card on the dor to stab it, its not a trick knife, and i dnt think its IT. its ****in good tho whatever it is. i am truely stumped

card was forced tho, the signatures dont match exactly, they are in the same position but they are not exactly the same. plus u can tell he classic forcs the card right at the start, he keeps a tell tale break at the selection. its deffinatly set up. which mens either a stooge or he had done some card tricks before hand and got her to sign a differnt king earlier that night

it does happen...lol mainly because its not just sleight of hand. i can usually figure tricks out if its just sleight of hand or simple gimmicks, but this just looks too good to b true, more than likely uses a gimmick which always makes it harder to figure out lol

The Joker
01-20-2008, 04:28 AM
i think maybe that the guy in the back ws in on the trick because he reaches over to set the deck down but maybe he actually secretly gives it to the guy behind and he has some role in the trick

WOA!!

illusionist14
