I call it S.D.R, which means: Sign, Destroy, Rebuild.
It is impromptu and I checked traums vid a few times and it uses a little differant method. Like his it can be done on a wim and can be completely examinable.
I have two versions, the one is the regular version, and the second is a little idea I got that I call twister. BTW the cards can be signed, and for Twiser both cards can be signed.

You can have the spectator choose a card, sign it, fold it up and rip(comes out cleaner with even tears) have them inspect the pieces before hand, and after restoration, examined once more. I got the idea at first thinking it was how traums worked, until I watched it and read the thread. Found out it was differant, asked him if it was differant, it did use a differant method so boom here it is.

It looks like you can't hand out twister at the end because of your handling, like Traum said, looked too delecate.....like if you would pull on the card and hold it with a more firm grip it would like...fall apart. Makes me wonder..

Well, its not a complete card, you can break it down or have them break it down to examine the pieces, it is a bit delicate.
I did the first one a couple of times today and it worked everytime, tried twister in the last hour of the day for a kid in my class, he was pretty amused, then he examined the pieces, all good.

sorry for double post, but I mainly did this trick today, did it many times, like 11, with only one slip up. A good idea is to have them attempt to put it together, they fail, you take it, restore it. Break it down hand the pieces out, they examine and attempt to put it together again, and they fail. Makes it look and seem more unbelivable.
I had one kid who was amazed at it, another who thought it was a lot cooler then when I did TORN to him, and another who got so frustrated trying to put the pieces together he threw on the ground lol.
However some people didnt care for it, they thought it was cool and they didnt know how it was done, but because it wasnt completely together they didnt care for it as much, depends on the person I guess.
I showed it to my magic buddy, and he said "wow that trick sucks, you have to do a switch with a real card to make it good."
What, that completely ruins the idea of it, the point is to take a signed card, examined, tear it, restore it, hand it out for examination and for the spectator to attempt it, with your hands empty no gimmicks or dupes the whole time. So yeah, that bugged me, but the good reactions really outweighed the bad(freind+one slip up)

well...you're magic buddy is right. And "the point is to take a signed card, examined, tear it, restore it, hand it out for examination" is impossible. No matter what, with any TNR effect, you either never rip the actual card or rip the actual card and restore it with sticky stuff or anything else and then switch it for a real card.

like the main page or on the forums? upload the video to a site like youtube, revver, metacafe, or similiar, Then there should be a link on the main page, where you can upload your vid onto it and you'll be good.

you misunderstood, the point of THIS TRICK is to do that, the thing that sells it is the spectator attempting to put it together, the see it, examine it, attempt, you take it, restore, break the card down, hand back out for examination and another attempt at it.
Magic is to entertain and "mystify", this way, they are entertained, and the mysery of how you did it is what makes it, they tried as well and couldnt do it, so bam, theres the effect.

see but it would be even more strong, if you could hand it out for examination with the whole card still intact.

I have a method where you can hand out a complete card thats folded, or one where you hand a complete card that has no folds and is completely in tact, no tears or anything, however this version I like cause it fits my style, and needs o extras, the switch needs the extra card, but then the pieces are put in the pocket and are then out of view, really depends on your style.
But thanks for the comment, will work on the methods of handing out the intact card.
