Sorry, I am not going to post piracy. If you are too lazy to read, there is a video at the end.
Sorry for the massive thread. It is mostly pictures, I promise!
Okay, this is a tutorial for Shifty By Chris Kenner. It is an un-gimmicked effect created by... well... Chris Kenner. It is an effect sold at Theory 11 and looks and appears to be a variation on the Elevator Card, which I believe it was published in the Erdnase Bible. If you want to correct me if I am wrong, please notify me and I will change it :D.
Sorry If some pictures are blurry!
Okay.... First we will talk about the grip. You are holding the deck in an altered Biddle grip. It's almost the grip you use to Dribble, but Your thumb is further towards the edge. Your index Finger is resting on bottom of the pack. It doesn't really matter where, as long as it is near the edge closest to the out jogged card.

Take note that in some pictures the index finger is resting on the side. It may be at some points during performance, just not all the time.
The card is angle jogged about 45˚ and the pip is pointing away form the thumb. And the opposite hand is in another altered Biddle grip, the thumb is in middle on the edge of the pack. If you are using Bicycles, the thumb is lined up wit the wheel in the middle of the card. And the middle finger is contacting the bottom edge of the card that is out jogged at an angle near the bottom of the pack. The ring and pinky fingers are just resting at the base of the long edge of the pack.
So you understand the grip, now it is time to learn how to execute the sleight used to move the card to the top. The grip is crucial, which is why I have provided the pictures, so you won’t learn the move incorrectly. The move is a very small and compact one. It is almost a variant on the pass, but not as hard! Your middle finger on top of the deck and index finger on bottom clamp on the card as you lift up a block of cards at least 15-20 cards above the out jogged card. The card is locked, and you are set up for the move. You Pull the card out of the lower packet and put it into the gap created by the block above the card. It is not as complicated as it sounds. If you watch the video I have provided, you will see how it is performed completely. It is very hard to explain in words, so please watch the video!

I have it too. And you really think I am going to go super indepth and shake like a virus like CK does? The last move is moving the top card as you are going up to blow on it. Great effect, looks like you are blowing the top card under the elevator card.
