i know jay sankey has his fire works dvd, but i cant seem to get my hands on it, and frankly, i dont think the effects taught are that impressive or anything...

anniversay waltz is an effect put out by doc eason....

i do a version of it....

basicly two people sign cards and they are asked to hold hands...the 2 cards are placed between their hands, back to back....and thru the power of love the 2 cards join and become one card(a double facer) with a signature on each side.

dont use 2 cards glued together for this. you need a df.

anniversary waltz was the original effect...and has a couple different phases...

true love is a slimmed down version of the original....

I think my ShowOff routine is pretty romantic

loving yourself doesn't count.....why dont you just go curl up some where and masturbate.

Ray Singson came up with this. "Soulmates". Used it a few times...

Effect:
Two people (a couple) select one card each and lose them in the deck. The magician reveals that the two cards end up with their mates. As a kicker, the deck is shown to be completely blank except for the mated cards.

Preparation:
A blank faced deck
King and Queen of Diamonds and Hearts. Place the KH on top and the QD at the bottom. Place the KD and QH in the middle and keep a pinky break.

Performance:
Patter about soulmates of people (yes cheesy, I know).

Riffle force the KD on the guy and Classic force the QH on the girl.

Deal off cards from the top and have the guy return his card face up at any point. Place the rest of the deck on the pile. This places the KH on the bottom of the deck and the face up KD and face down QD together.

Ask the girl to place her card back, Hindu shuffling in small increments. When she places her card on the shuffled portion, put the rest of the deck on top. This places the QH next to the KH.

Make sure you don't shuffle off too much and end up breaking the first pair!

Give the deck a complete cut (avoiding the pairs again).

Spread the deck face down, revealing the two face-up cards. Patter about finding soulmates etc etc again and jog up the cards to the right of the face up cards. Reveal them to be the mates of each other. To emphasize the impossibility of what just happened, reveal the deck to be completely blank.

Notes:

Any force will do actually, as long as they don't involve messing the top and bottom cards and you don't show any of the faces of the blanks.

I'm writing this from memory and I don't remember if the pairs are KQ-KQ or KK-QQ. Just change it depending on what you feel is better. Some people feel it's better to just do the trick with the two selected K and Q pairing together. Of course it wouldn't be a soulmates trick anymore, would it?
