Welcome back to part 5 of your "Secrets Of Hypnosis" mini-course. In this section I'm going to reveal how you really can become a hypnotist, almost instantly. And you do this with an exercise called the "60-Second Hypnotist". It is a very simple and easy to do exercise. However, don't be deceived. While it looks very simple, and it looks very straightforward, and it looks very easy, the "60-Second Hypnotist" has a lot of very powerful principles built into it. Use it, and use it a lot, especially if you are a novice hypnotist, use this to really master the core fundamentals of your discipline. So what is the "60-Second Hypnotist"? Very simply, we are going to follow a very basic 4-step structure. The steps are... 1. Induce a trance2. Deepen the trance 3. Carry out some form of trance work4. Emerge from that trance work We're going to use this as a framework for a simple hypnotic process that you can do good with straightaway. Before we go into the actual process, a couple of notes on how to use this. The first thing I am going to ask you to do is not treat this as anything serious. Treat this as a bit of fun, a bit of make believe; as something you can just get carried away with and enjoy just experimenting in the sense of amateur theatrics or amateur dramatics. What I will ask you to do in the "60-Second Hypnotist" is to bring a friend. Bring in a confidante. Now, with this friend, just tell them to play along with the following exercise. Ask them to pretend to be hypnotized while you just pretend or act as if you are a great hypnotist. So you are going to pretend to be this great hypnotist while your partner is going to pretend to be a great hypnotic subject. Now this does something tremendous for you. It takes away all the pressure for you to perform. You no longer have to get a result. You no longer have to make sure this works. All you need to do is focus on the things you need to control, which is to say, your attitude, your behavior, and the way you engage with enthusiasm with the ideas and suggestions we are presenting for you here. So this frees you up tremendously. Now there is a secret behind asking someone to pretend to go into hypnosis. In fact, that can be one of the most powerful ways to get people to get into hypnosis, especially when people are not sure what to do or of what needs to happen. Because remember, when someone pretends for long enough, what tends to happen is that they will forget they are pretending and their unconscious mind assumes that what they are pretending is true, and it will make those things happen. I have taught this exercise dozens of times to hundreds of people. I have always found that although people start off pretending, after awhile they begin to experience the actual hypnotic effect happening. And it is pretty quick. People are relaxing more quickly. They are focusing. A lot of times I find that people don't want to come back. And when they come back you will notice all the typical signs of hypnosis, the trance signals. So use this experiment. Use this exercise as just a bit of fun, as something you can just pretend to do, act "As if" and bear in mind, this is very powerful and may well surprise you with getting successes well before you think that you have acquired any skill as a hypnotist. Which just goes to show, you never know how far your unconscious mind will take you. Now here is a simple outline and script you can use... "Make sure you're sitting comfortably. Take a deep breath in and as you breath out close your eyes and go into a trance. "That's right relax and go into a trance. "Now every time you hear me say the word 'Deeper', you'll go deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper still into the most pleasant, comfortable and relaxing hypnotic trance you have ever experienced. "So ready now, just go deeper and deeper and deeper still. "Feel that relaxation developing inside and as you feel that relaxation continuing to develop inside, notice how your mind begins to open up to respond and learn new things. "And one of those things is really worthwhile learning properly and that is learning how to relax, completely comfortably, wherever you are and whatever you do. "So as you sit there listening to me, you are learning to feel comfortable and relaxed more and more fully, so that as the days and the weeks and the months go by, you will find yourself being more relaxed as a person, more comfortable and more easy to get along with, so you can enjoy your life more and more fully. "Now it's time for you to come back. "And as soon as you are ready to come back, I'm going to count from one to five. "So as I count from one to five you will become more and more awake with each number. "On the count of five you will open your eyes, refreshed, relaxed and alert, feeling simply fantastic. "So let's do that now. One, coming up slowly. Two, more and more alert. Three, beginning to move your body a little. Four, almost there. Five, open your eyes feeling refreshed, relaxed, alert, simply fantastic. "Congratulations! Great job and well done!" Practice this simple exercise with your friends. I think you'll be amazed at how effective it is and how quickly you'll find yourself feeling and acting like a real hypnotist. That brings us to the end of this mini-course.
