Just something i thought up about... Don't you hate Magic Posers? The Ones that get influenced by your magic then start learning crappy tricks like ones that you count numbers with? They think they're all good and stuff but they suck so much. I know this one kid named Zaid and i showed bullet to several people (i guess he was around) and he asked me during a class to show him again... He ALWAYS asked me how to do it and i kept telling him to figure it out by himself (He thought you use glue and glue it on the bottle somewhere.. lol) Next week later, he brings in cards and asks me if he can show me something.. i said sure and he shows me a really dumb trick where he kept splitting the deck over and over and over... He got my card right but i said no. The only reason why he actually knew it was my card was because (i noticed all of his movements) when i put my card back on the top of the deck, he tilted the deck downwards so he could see the bottom of my card slightly... Then after class he said exactly : "At least i can one hand shuffle."... i told him i can too and i showed him the revolution cut... i asked him if he could do a one hand shuffle but he ignored me and didn't do anything... wow...

I hate them also, there is this kid I know, and our parents are good friends, so one time I had gone over his house, and there was really nothing to do. When I first saw him to me looked like a total ***. So I didn't talk to him. I took out a deck of cards and was playing around with some color changes, and he noticed and he asked me to show him something, so I asked him for a piece of sewing thread, and I peformed Wayne Houchins Thread. After that he wouldn't leave me alone. Now, (1 year later) He walks around with a deck of cards, and tries to do all these hard sleights and he ends up making a totaly fool of himself, and he thinks he's good to.

my best friend was over and went through all my magic stuff and found some instructions on crazy mans handcuffs and some pretty good card tricks and so he went to school and showed everyone, and messed up and so they all figured it out. now he doesnt do them anymore, just when i do them he says 'i know how to do that' to everyone.

I know like 3 kids that started magic because of me, so I would think they were cool. I didn't. Only 1 of them still does magic, and is semi-good.

my best friend started magic at the same time i did and at first her kept up with me but after about a month i just totally blew him out of the water and now its like well he can figure them out but he sucks at performing and so when he tries to perform he ruins it he ruined panic for me now i cant do that one at school but i finally convinced him that he was horrible and thankfully he stopped he says its too hard he doesnt get why i practiced all the time

It's fine if people like them weren't so full of themselves, didn't ruin your magic performances, and actually liked magic. But no. Many of them just want to learn the secret, and an awful some use it to fill up some inadequacy in them... "i can do magic and you can't" types.
Fortunately I didn't have to worry about that in school. I have a young cousin who IS like that though. Since he asked me "to teach him how to do magic" and not to "tell him how I did it", I taught him the 4 robbers trick to test him. I'll find out when we see again if he really was serious or not.

calm down guys
no, why should we calm down?
Personally, i think this is a very big problem for actuall magicicans who take their sleights and their talent very seriously. Now, because we have internet, all those little posers we were just talking about can put up their webcams, do a very complex magic trick, **** it up, show everyone how to do it, and then think theyre so cool, and think people will like them more.
well i have something to say to all of you narsistic pricks out there...:
**** off. Leave magic for the people who will give it time and care, so as to perfect the art.
Thats basically my problem with these posers...

I totally agree with you. Magic posers only want to do magic because YOU do it. They don't think about anything else. They just want to go ahead and go straight into proffesional magic tricks. They don't think about what might happen wrong or right. They don't practice in front of a mirror. Instead, they do it in front of all these people, think theyre all good and cool, but later on in the trick they mess up. I hate it how they do that.
Oh and that Zaid kid i was talking about? Well, since he was bringing a deck of cards to school, he was holding them the whole time, trying to get a good card spring... HE SUCKED SO MUCH. And he even showed our teacher but he failed miserably... In my old school, i would show all of my teachers and they would all be impressed... i never messed up... but Zaid always did, thinking he was cool.

I guess I can see where you guys are coming from.
It does kinda annoy me, but everyone starts from somewhere.
Once a guy at school did a trick when I was already into magic, and it was alright, I could of publicly humiliated him and revealed the trick but I decided not to, but I still told him I knew how he did it and told him how to improve it....But then he said that's not how I do it. It was a card through window or something, but the card went into a crack.
Another thing that annoys me that happened once was when my brother someone figured out one of those card appearing things. I forgot what they are called, just skipped my mind...You know how you do that back palm thing and make the card appear from mid-air. Well my brother firgured it out, and this was when I was beginning magic so even I suck at it, and my brother infront of some people like did it as a joke (but did it horribly) like I didn't know it perfectly so I didn't perform it but my brother did it as a joke. Like I kinda call myself a magician and I can't stuff up but if someone else knows how to do a trick and they don't do it properly and perform it, it annoys me.
And I also have a story when someone's annoyed me because of my magic...My younger cousin wanted to know how I did a trick, and I kinda performed to him a lot and he would always say, "Could I have a go?" I would always say, "No" but then he would just end up in tears, and would be like, "Why can't you just show me?" But he was young so he kinda has an excuse.
Anywayz, that's my little rant and I doubt any of you will read it :p .

Yea i read your ENTIRE rant. It guess yours isn't that bad but still... there are magic retards out there thinking there all cool.... Oh and another story about Zaid. After he performed that dumb trick to me, he went up to some other kid in the class and was all like, "I did this trick to him and i know i got the card right. He just doesn't want to prove i got it right. He knows i'm a better magician than him. I know i got that card right". ACHEM... "Better magician" YEA RITE. How dumb is that... and that was HIS EXCUSE. How gay.

You cant stop somebody learning magic if they want to
Everybody started somewhere, Even i used to do the all famous 9th card trick.
I am totaly against exposure on youtube.
"How would you feel if you created something and somebody posted it all over the internet
Magic is how i get my money, I dont have another job so i would be very grateful if you remove all videos i have created.
If it is not removed within 24 hours i will be forced to take further action"
yeah i hate exposure....on youtube but i love exposure here haha
