Can we talk about anything else other than TNR. Thats all this forum has been talking about for weeks. Who cares? I mean just because you found a new version of the trick, doesn't mean it's any different.

I mean what do you guys think, that if you look hard enough your going to find a method that really puts the card back together, come on! It always done basically the same way anyways.

Not really man. I thnik TNR and card thru window is played out. The effects are OK, but not that great. Way to much setup involved. Impromtu effects are much better. Isolation (the new card thru window) doesn't really impress me that much. The only TNR that ever impressed me was D. Copperfield's TNR with a valuable baseball card. And as far as going somewhere else, I have the right to state whatever I want. If you don't like it, you go somewhere else.

It's not that I don't like the effects, but why do we have to have to many posts about TNR.

You really said that you don't like them and that impromptu is much better, then stated the only tnr that impressed you was Copperfield's tnr that would never work in a real environment and is highly gimmicked and set-up for the camera. Hypocritical much?

Beside the fact, a lot of tnr's ARE impromptu, and Isolation, as you highlighted it, is ALSO impromptu, yet you say it doesn't impress you...

So do you LIKE impromptu, or HATE it? lol

I guess I just don't limit myself to one style of magic. I'm not a card magician, yet I do like some card tricks. I'm not a close-up magician, yet I do a lot of close up effects. I'm not a stage magician, yet I know and have a lot of stage magic. I'm versitle. It's hard for me to know what I like. I'm picky as hell when it comes to my material. I don't settle for just anything like most of these guys do.

As far as being a hypocrite, you may be right, but it is hard to express feelings online. I don't like tricks that involve a lot of setup. I like tricks that you can be comfortable with, so you can be more of a performer than a worry wort about the trick.

I'm always hungry for new effects, I'm not hungry for effects with a new method. No matter how you look at TNR, you will always have another card in play. If someone could come up with a way to use one card and one card only, I would be game. Maybe thats something i will work on.

Don't say it can't be done, people said that about Card Thru Window for years, then came isolation.

I forgot, someone did come up with a way to do it with one card. Because cards are made in 3 layers, that was clever.

Actually, Holy Grail uses one card, SORT OF, but the movements that can be made with different methods make it look more natural, which is why they keep popping up. It's not being a worry wart, it is practicing everything you perform until you have mastered it and it looks Flawless. I'm not trying to be an ass, but in the magic world, heaps of tricks are marketed several times because someone comes along with a smoother, more natural looking method.
