I'll reveal the trick (or share the vid thru pm's? subtleties and all) if somebody guesses the method. My 11 year old brother figured out the basic method, and I'm curious if anyone on this site will. Its a great trick, especially for people who have paid gigs. Its not exactly impromptu (you can't just deal out cards and perform), and that is the major hint...

Under each card have a little note saying what card it is.. he take sup the envelope, card and the prediciton in one hand at the same time. Having the note under the card and envelope. So envelope-card-note..

Pretend to pull out the note from the envelope but ur actually just taking it out from underneath. just like in indecent..

thats exactlly what I thought. I dont think its that great of a trick because the specs can EASYILY figure it out.

i had no idea it was that easy for a magician to figure out. Hopefully it will baffle spectators, you never know. The only thing I think you guys missed was that you use a post it note, and this way you can naturally handle the cards when dealing them downward. Would anyone mind explaining indecent a little more?

Indecent:


Let a spectator pick a card.. control it to the top of the deck. Take a plastic bag and lay it down on the ground. lick the back of the top card which is their card. Take the deck and press down on the plastic bag. Then spread through. Now slowly take up the plastic bag. One card should stick to the plastic bag. Open it. And pretend to take it out from the inside of the plastic bag. Just as with the sankey trick..

It's IS Sankey's effect. :D

Yeah it's pretty simple for a magician to figure it out, especially when you're familiar with Sankey's usual sleights.

Really too easy to figured it out... And Opeth explanation is right. There is no paper in the envelope, each card have a single paper with the name of the card. Then with the envelope on the card it looks like he is taking a paper from the envelope but he's just pulling it from under the card...

Not really a good trick, cause it may happen that people will probably try to pick up the cards after the trick and they will see the papers.
