Problems with my scotch and soda

I bought my scotch and soda gimmick about 2 weeks ago, but the half dollar shell and the copper/silver coin aren't fitting snuggley any more. They come off much easier. I try to slightly bend the shell, but it only works for so long. Is this a problem I should be concerned about? If so, how do u recomend i fix it?

PS: How should i store the shell and silver/copper coin? should i store them seperate, or connected? Thank you.

Ive looked everywhere on the package for the name of a manufacturer, but there isn't one provided. You seperate the gimmick by using a knock-out ring (you put it in the ring then bang it on a table untill they seperate).

well, one of the pieces is bent and you will just have to play with it....

you could take it back and try to exchange it.

not sure who made it or how much it cost you. but you get what you pay for...

so if you look for the cheapest one you can find....then you get the crappiest one made....

the ones from johnson cost about $30 and they are hard to screw up.

I got it from a magic shop while on vacation (like 1.5 hours away). I got it for around $20.00 I think. Oh, and I emailed the guy who owns the shop and he said all sales are final, so i cant exchange it. I think ill just keep bending it a little bit before each performance. Thanks for the help :)

I got the nickel and penny effect... it would be awesome but i didnt notice i put it in the wrong way... so it got stuck i got it out by bending... and now it is loose and bending doent help much... i bought it for only 5.95 anyway...

1. Store them connected (nested)

2. To tighten them....Nest the coins (connect as you say) then tap the outer edge (gently) all the way around a few times on a hard surface like a table.
