I worked it out when it came out.

I'll explain it tomorrow cos it's nearly my bed time here in England. ;)

I haven't re-watched it but if I remember correctly it uses double-stick tape (I call it double sided) and dupes...

i dont know the first part but the 2nd pat is pretty obvious

he actually has 6 red cards, 1 is a dupe of another 1(like the 2 stars) and he gave the other guy 5 blanks

so he controls the 2 stars to the top, he gives him 1 of them and takes 1 of the blanks, so he double lifts to show it is a star than shows he deals than he deals the rest of the cards down

(at least i think)

edit: oh and i believe he uses double sided tape to stick tthe blank to the dupe star

is it one of those tricks where, most people pick wavy lines, so he just grabbed that card(and hoped he would pick it)?

People usually think of a star or that lines.... the lines because there are 3 lines and that makes it different from the other symbols and the star is a interesting symbol... so you pull out the lines and ask if he thinks of a star... if he does you say... yes i knew it that's why i pulled out this lines... and if he thinks of the lines you just show him the lines.

The cards the spec has are all blanks. The magician has two star cards, with one of the star cards having a double stick tape on the back.

He hands the normal star to the spectator and receives one of the blanks. He then places this card on top of the taped card.

Eh? I thought it was pretty clear. Notice that the spectator doesn't see the faces of his cards. That's because all of his cards are blank faces. So it doesn't matter what he hands to you after you hand him a star card.

When he hands you a blank card, you place that blank face on top of your packet of cards... right on top of the other face down star card that has a double sided tape on it. The blank facer then sticks to the back of the star card still in your packet. So when he reveals his cards, he shows 4 cards because the 5th is stuck on the back of the star card the spectator supposedly "gave" you.

Try it out yourself. It'll be clearer that way.

yeah its a veryeasy trick i'll ty and go into a bit more detail for u

u will need 11 blank cads to make it ur self
5 red backed and 6 blue backed

on 5 of the blue backed cards raw one of each of the 5 esp symbols, watch the video to see what they are on the last blue backed card draw a duplicate symbol and attach a piece of double stick tape to the back of it

place the duplicate on the double stick tape so it apears u only have 5 cards all with different symbols on the.

hand the red cards to the spec and tell him to huffle them explaining that he must not lok at the faces cause u dont want him to b influenced in any way as to what each card is

u then also shuffle ur packet keepin the double card on top

lift off the top card from the double stick tape and hand it face down to the spec

u know how a card on top of ur stck with a piece of double stick tape on the back of it

ask ur spec to pick out any card he wants from his stack, they are all blank so it doesnt matter what he choose. and u place it ontop of the double stick tape

now when u turn over the 2 apaernt random selected cards they match up

his is a genuine blue backed card and the card u turn over is a double card, its a red acked blank card stuck to a blue backed symbol card that matches he card u gave he spec

the kicker ending is u tell the spec to turn over the rest of his cards explaining u knew he would pick that exact card cause the rest of his cards are blank

and when he picks he card at the sart its literally just a case of gussing, obviously dont take out the duplicate card or else the second part would look suspicious if u were to use the same symbol, so he takes out the next obvious choice. most people would choose the wavy lines and star cause they are not ordinary shapes, and most people think that the obvious chices available are the simple shapes so they go for what they beleive the least obvious choice, wich as it turns out is actually the most obvious lol
