I dont like money gimmicks that much. I like the advanced handling gimmick especially because the gimmick will last as long as the other cards do. Also if you screw up doing scared never do it again.

that trick is very hard to screw up, how did you screw it up?

well my mom is so uptight, and I basically need self working tricks or I have to do my moves literally when she isnt looking. One time I was doing this card trick and I had to control it to the top I said place your card in the middle ( I cut the deck) and pointed to that spot. She then took that pile place here card back on that spot and made me place the other half of the deck on top of it leaving me with no break. So lol yeah....

um no, she kinda was like circling me lol. And she saw something akward but the advanced handling she didnt find anything but she said that didnt impress me...lol:D

when performing for someone like your mom, you should have done the advanced version so she wouldnt notice

no. Some things I can talk my way out of. Some moves I can get away with but there one of my best moves.

no offense but ppl like your mom are what i call magic spoilers. They kill the fun. Not in the section of heckler but pretty damn close. Hecklars will try and spot the mistakes and figure out the tricks, but all u needa do is perform the trick right and u should have no problem. Ppl like ur mom however, even after the damn trick they still go on and on.

t help w/ your "no break" problem just dribble the top packet on top while moving it about 3/4 of an inch forward. itll leave a lille step you can substitute for a break

to b honest a fundamental point a magician must be able to do is pick his audience. if i ever came accross anyone like ur mum i'd b able to see that she is just one of those people that likes fuigurein stuff out, i'd either show her some really simple stuff (ie without gimmicks) or i'd just walk away
i'd never show her somethin with gimmicks cause she sounds like the type of person that would just want to instantly examine everythin. jus dont show tricks to ur mum.

Thanks traum, actually my brothers, and my mom are like that. Ill be sure to only show simple tricks in the future if I ever show a trick again.
