i was wondering, i have a show comeing up and i was wondering how to do the following, or atleast the right name
a prediction is shown at the begining of the show ina tube
the magician then throw a ball into the audiance and asks
name a place, they say hawii
name a food : they say hambergure
think of a cileberty : goerge lucas
and hen they make a storry talking about how they went to hawii and say georger lucas eating a hamberger
then they open the envalope or w/e and the story is written down with ll the same wrighting, and the exact prediction of of what was asked
i know it wasnt a stooge because i saw it at a show and i was asked one of the questions:confused:

actually no, take magicks( well, eugenes) advice, practice till you think you have it down then practice for another month

Sorry, but learning a trick, and a stage one at that, for the sole intent of performing it a week later is just something we're strongly against. It just shows how lightly you regard the art.

You can practice a trick for a week and expect to be an expert at it.

ok first of all it is not up to u to say i have no respect for the art, i am one of the longest serving members on this sight, if i do not know i can perform the trick i wont, i just really wanted to know the trick, so please dont ever think that i have no respect, this is my life and my living ok i have been doing this for 11 years dont act like you fucking know me
second if anyone know what this trick is it would be a great help, i just want to use one eliment from it that is all, i want to intrate it into the routin that i already know and have been performing for years

so it's a two person effect.

second i knowone week is being very over zelous but i figured if it was simple than i might see if i had the time to get it

this ose not mean that i am pro people know alot more about it than i do

Anyone in the audience says that thing you mentioned.. Then your partner which is under the stage writes what they say. Then switches out the random prediction for the correct one.. Thats how you do that shit. And no, you dont need a fucking month of practice. Just work on the patter and drag it out to make it more intense and exciting..

an effect like this requires much more practice than normal.... the whole thing hinges on the presentation....so it has to be perfect, plus your coordinating the actions of two different people. the timing has to be spot on.....

i don't think you gave this response much thought opeth......yes, the method is simple to understand....but it takes a strong stage presence and perfect timing between two people to pull it off.

no... TO do that effect on a stage is easy. Switching out the prediciton is easy. The only hard part is the patter..

Am I wrong, Or ccould this just be done with a standard Ring Vanish Box ?

You show the Box from the beginning with a lock on it... Place it ( standing sideways to hide the secret ) on the stage, so the audience can see it all time... when it´s time to reveal the prediction, take the box ( written prediction inserted with the known secret ), give it to an audience meber ( that maybe has the key troughout the whole patter ), let him open the lock and you habe the prediction in it...

I think that wouldn´t need much practise ( 2-4 hours ), maybe... I managed to get the ring vanishing box working GOOD in about 1 or 2 Days... and use it for different purposes... signed coin in the box, vanished Ring in Box, prediction in Box, disappeared Card ( signed ) in Box... the effects are endless and it is soooo easy to master... ( you could even write the predicted story with a thumbtip pen yourself if you practise that ) and wouldn´t need a stooge to write down the prediction...

I know, this is a very old thread, but I thought, that way the kid COULD have learned an easy way to learn this trick in much less time than a week...

Oh, and the patter is just like playing a game with the audience...and audiences can react very different to certain things...
