Pretty much. that's exactly what it looks like and he used a mirage deck for the force. And the card he burns looks like he printed a card on flash paper and stuck it to the other, that or somehow incorporated writing into a flash card(or alpha card).

Yes it's a riffle force on the dictionary... or a gimmicked dictionary. Faking the book itself is one of the methods in book tests.

Of course he is..

You can use a normal deck if you want. He did a classic force on that lady..

First, introduce the prediction to the audience. Dont show it, though. Force a card on them I.e: 4 hearts. Force a word on them in the dictionary.. they write the word on their card. Now, light the lighter end light the card. The top layer is just flash paper..

Yes a gimmicked book is the easiest way to do this :
the first and the last 50 pages are real so you can show them at the beggining and the center of the book contain the 2 same pages repeated.

When you ask to call stop, just stop somewhere in the middle and you know the page number and the first word :D

how is it possible that the top layer is flash paper when we can clearly see the printing and stuff?

He printed on the flash paper. Notice that the colors on the card face aren't very sharp, as well as lacking that familiar finish.

I noticed that the cards looked like a typical rough-smooth type... too few card faces and too thick intervals in the spread. It could've been a classic force, though I'm more inclined to think it really was a mirage deck.

does printing on flash paper really work? because you'd have to have a damn good printer for it to not tear the paper, as we all know flash paper is very fine and tearable... Any ideas on how i could go about printing on flash paper?

Well, even if I'm wrong, it's definitely some kind of paper used for burning effects. Something like a slow burn flash paper.

You can't print anything on regular flash paper.. You have to make your own.. Traum have made it so he could probably make a little tut for those who wants to make the special flash paper..

How about backing flash paper with regular paper? Still tears?

would you suggest laser or ink jet printer? cz my laser printer handles the paper very roughly.. but i dont know if the ink jet will do the job
