he fellas whats up, I have been doing magic for a bit now and been to this forum alot, enjoy what you guys talk about, but I was wondering how
Technique by Matthew Mello was done, I have had much ideas guys like double writing or something but spec holds paper so how is it done>

You´re right: after they complained/started discussing here few days ago about their tricks being revealed harms so much, and papercrane did as if they were better than E, I now have the opinion, they are the same rip off ( okay, they are cheaper, but nevertheless 30 bucks for that <censored> thing is not worth it

You´re right, but I´ve seen 2 reveals for papercrane stuff now... and both sucked... not the way they were produced, but they were so simple, they could be in a Kids magic-set cheaper than 10 bucks ( with loads of more tricks )...
well.. if someone likes their stuff, he shall buy it and be happy... but a good classic Magic Book is more worth I think...

If any one would like details on Technique they can PM me. Technique is great but nobody is forcing people to buy it. I tried to make it clear that I am not an enemy and of course I am not trying to tell anybody what to do. I cant stand when people do it to me so I extend the same respect to you. Any if our effects cost too much let us know what they should cost dont just say that they are rip offs, offer a suggestion.

Flow is OK but it isnt worth it because you could get plastic bubbles for like a few dollars in china town and other places.



IMO the dvd should be at least $15

if i remember correctly papercrane sells refills 5 bucks for 2 small packets of plastic bubbles?

If its already been out since ages.


Invisable thread isnt new.



What your doing is just ripping people off with a overpriced dvd.


Theres plenty of other effects that uses the same principle as Fall ..

Sonny, first of all, you are wrong about Power Word: Fall. Fall uses a technique you have not described. You do not just pull a string and yell "Fall". If that was true, everyone would be doing this effect.

The technique used in PWF is something different that is not being done. The DVD goes through step by step and shows, not only how the method works, but three different ways to do it including a walkaround method. It then delves into specific effects to do with the Power Word: Fall principle. 6-7 variations that play out with different effects. The menus are creepy and the cover art rocks (I am biased...I made it! :) ). It is 45 min long and It comes with stuff.

That is a lot of bang for your buck, as well as being a fairly cheap price in the magic community for a DVD with items. I think people will get a lot out of it. If you don't think you will, that is your perogative, but I am very happy with the effect and the final product.

I respect people who value an illusion for the effect it has on the audience. The best illusions have a simple method, and Power Word: Fall has a devious and powerful one. I can't wait until some people start performing it and watching the reactions they get! :) -Matt Sconce

I have read several threads just today where people are revealing secrets they admit downloading from torrent, while others are saying they will send the ripped files to the people requesting them. That is piracy. They are making those requests and deals unhindered here in public chat. That is supporting piracy. There are many other ways to support piracy than by posting a video. A good fictional example is a forum where they claim to not support murder but they have people discussing who they will kill next unhindered and bragging about who they killed last. That site would be supporting murder, just as this site seems to be supporting piracy.

Anyway, that aside, I guess the question comes down to the debateable topic of how much value do you place on your magic. The things my illusion lets you do, in my opinon, are worth 29.95 to me. Obviously you do not place that much value on it, and that is okay. Magic is about more than a secret or method. It is about an effect and that has value to me. The question is, will you receive more than 30.00 worth of value over your life with an illusion. I believe you will with Power Word: Fall. And that is how I personally decide which illusions I will buy. ;)

By the way, the answer to the will I get my money's worth from Paper Crane, is always yes. I have never been dissapointed by a purchase from there, which is why I am excited they are marketing my effect, which is 6-7 effects (Not one as you state) it has one method that lets you perform 6-7 different illusions.

Also, I am a D&D geek so like Power Word: Stun and Power Word: Kill, I will always say Power Word: Fall. :D

Everyone has their own style with magic. I do, you do, everyone does. Like I said, it is all about the value you place on an idea. I value ideas, and the people that come up with them. If you place so little value on ideas, that is up to you.

You can do it anywhere, anytime. (completely impromptu) But paper should be big i think. you can perform like 10 times and they won't catch you. You can turn your back (great about that one :D If you have DVD, you'll get what i'm sayin' :p )

im not sure if it had been revealed yet i honestly couldnt be bothered to read thru all the posts lol

its done by elbow reading, u have the spec hold the pad of paper up at eye level and it has to b a big pad of paper......tell them to write down any number and make the numbers really big....big enough to fill the page.
as they are writing u watch what their elbow does and u can then read what numbers are written (the numbers will apear reversed tho.

u have to watch out for 2 and 6. a backwards 6 actually looks like a 2 and vice versa so if u see a 2 bein drawn with the elbow its actually a 6 on the paper ect.

letters can also be used but it does become harder to read what they are due to people handwritting styles ect

its not a bad effect, i wont ever use it.....i dont particularly fancy carrying a pad of paper around with all day long to do the trick

but its a good technique to know
