botop card switch

I'm trying to perfect the the botop. In a nutshell you switch out a cad your holding with the bottom card on the pack, covering it with the action of flicking the card. You ditch your card on top of the deck and grab the bottom card. I'm trying to do a torn and restored card using the botop. My problem is that when I buckle the bottom card, its visible to spectators. Does anyone have any advice?

Yeh they really shouldn't see a buckle... unless they're staring intently at your hands... which is not what you want.
