I do a doc daily strike double lift. It has no get ready and is pretty easy.

Strike when I feel confident and they are watching my hands
Push-off when I misdirect with my right hand
Thumb-count when I need a triple and when I feel nervous

I occassionally use a fancier one like the one taught on CC2.
I never use Lee Asher's diving board double.

I use all kinds of double lifts.. The one that I use very often is when I take up 2 cards and put my pinky below them.. Yeah.. BEAT THAT BITCH!

Like M1dnight Sun:
Strike when confident or being burned (or need a fast lift)
Push off when under misdirection
Thumb count if I have the time to prepare.

my fave kind of double i use a lot i dont actually know the name of it ut its for when i have the card face up on top doin a card transpo or somethin. i'll have a card selected and while they look at it or sign it i turn the top card over usein my leg and get a pinkie under it. then all i gotta do is take the card back and place it face up on the deck rubbing the ink to show its dry then turn over both cards. it looks so fair and i've never been caught out so far

One that I use a lot is you have the deck in mechanics grip, beveled a bit, then you use your thump to pop off two cards in the upper left hand corner. They can kind of see the first one pop off so I just keep my hand in motion when I do that one. Then you just push& turn over the top two cards

In the situation of a classic double lift (card to show second from top, deck face down), I just push off to a pinky break and do a safe, secure double with my middle finger and thumb sliding along either short end of the card.

However I am slowly trying to become confident at Derren Brown's velvet turnover. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is basically an alternative for the double lift. It looks completely clean, and although usually unnecessary, it gives me a certain satisfaction to do it in a routine for a spectator. You can even have the spectator turn the card face up, then face down, almost doing the lift for you.
However it does take a lot of practice and I only use it when I'm in full swing.
