A mentalism technique similar to Banachek's PK Touches and the Tossed Out Deck. It's not really a trick. It's a formal stage demonstration of mental influence. I don't use it at all.

That's right. 3 participants are made to think of 2 shapes, a date and a name. The performer then declares what the participants thought of. I described it before in another thread.
It's in Luke Jermay's book, The Coral Fang.

Simply; the greatest display of mindreading a modern performer can currently do :)
It is a spectacular principal and can be an amazingly paced routine.
It can be found in The Coral Fang and 3510.
I use this about every other performance as "a darker note".
It is the closest to real mindreading you can possibly perform at the moment.

Sorry but not really. It's pretty complicated.
If you have a deep knowledge of magic then the name "touching on Hoy" kinda gives it away; if i tell you "touching" refers to banachek's pk touches and "Hoy" refers to the hoy/tossed out deck principal ;)
I thoroughly recommend you buy his book. Well all of them actually...

I don't think the books are worth $50 unless you are a true mentalist. Lots of the material is only suitable for him. Lots of tricks rely on suggestion. (Stuff like making them forget what card they picked and making the wrinkle lines on their hands move around.) I suggest you get that psychology degree first and then study the books.

The reason why I refused to reveal the trick in the other thread is because I feel if you don't know PK Touches and the Tossed out Deck, you shouldn't really be performing this.
