i realize there are some threads about tagged already but i come to you with a question about rich ferguson's TAGGED. i want to know if there is anyone here who has it--is it a good buy.. is it worth the money in other words.

it depends. the first question would be to u. were u interested in the trick from the preview??
if the answer is yes then this is deffinatly a good buy. on the other hand its nothin really new. i dont have it but form what i've heard its just the same old echniques to get info from the spec and then a transfer device to get the word on their arm

yea i was interested in the preview but often times i'm interested and let down at the impracticality of the trick. so i was curious what those that have bought it think about it.

well like i said i havent bought it and to b honest it really doesnt appeal to me. i dont think any of my friends or strangers i just met would appreciate the fact i just wront on their arm. anyway from what i've heard its basically a gimmicked book that ur abole to use to imprint a word onto someone by just touchin them with the book, that means u need to b able to know what they are thinkin of, or just ofrce it upon them and then have the word writtin on the book as a mirror image so that when u press the book onto their arm it leaves a copy

yea thats about what i though it was.. but i thought there are some versions that don't use a book at all..

Hmm...traum you made me think about whether spectators would like to have something written on their arm. Adults, probably not. People with an expensive shirt will not appreciate any kind of stain on them. Teenage guys will probably like it. Stained skin (no pun intended) might appeal to girls, but the writing might be ugly and if they don't wash it off people will be bugging them and asking questions. Which, I realize, is promotion for yourself. So, you don't know who will appreciate it unless someone asks if you can mark their arm after you perform a tattoo trick. I think I'll wait a bit longer on deciding to buy it or not...

exactly and then in u askin wheather they would mind kind of defeats the point of the whole trick cause they then are expecting the writing to appear on them somewhere and that means they will obviously b lookin out for it more closely. the main thing with this trick is u dont want them to know what ur gonna do so that when u actually do it they dont notice it and then dont remember it when tryin to replay the trick in their head to figure it out.
i mean u can either not bother askin and just do it hopein the guy doesnt beat the shit out of u for writin on his arm or u ask him if he wouldnt mind and ten ruin the trick. tough call really.
plus i dunno bout u guys but this may b the wrong time of the year to b bringing out an effect like this, over here in england its fuckin freezing right now, i dont know anyone thats walkin around with their arms on show or any part of their body for that matter its gonna b at least 3-4 months before we start to get decent enough weather for me to b able to even attempt this trick (if i liked it in anyway)
like i said i really dont like the trick, to me its just a stupid way to reveal a chosen word.

Traum that is what is so great about the DVD I purchased it and it clearly explanes the trick. And as for the whole "It's fuckin freazing in England right now" Rich covers that he tells you how to control your spectators to the point that when ask them to roll up there sleeves, (with a good excuse of course) that they will do it no matter how cold. It's just audience managment.

I dowloaded dvd from aomk1 yesterday :) I wasted my good ratio for this shit lol :D
It's basically rolled up tape so it's like rubber stripe.. Then you just glue plastic letters on it and that's in.. There's special sponge with ink (dunno how it's called) which is used for stams.. So you basically push the gimmick in there and when you shake hands with person, you press that on their hand.. Of course you're forcing word/number/card..
When i saw Tagged commercial, i thought that'll be visual appearance of the text. It wasn't.
I won't perform this for audience. It's lame. Ghost Ink by Andrew Mayne gives same effect but you need card so you like slide it across the hand and text appears.. You can do it with spectators hands..
That's my opinion..
Hope that helps :)

that i understand, every trick is about audience management but that still doesnt acount for how cold it is, u could say all the things in the world to me but u still aint gettin me to roll my sleeves up in the middle of winter when its minus 2 degrees outside

someone here posted a video of richard fergeson performing on the news. He floored the chick when reading her mind with the random word in a book. But when he did tagged, she backtracked that he asked her for her watch, and must have imprinted her then. Just imagine what comes next. If he knew what word I'd pick before hand, he must have forced it, etc... If you ask me it can end up being a hinderance. But in the right setting, (not cold people not wearing sleeves) it can be brilliant.
