I've been a member of this forum for a while but never had much of a chance to post. I've been doing pretty much nothing but card magic and I need to expand my variety of tricks. So, in short, I need some really good illusions. Something that is sort of scary.
I just need some suggestions on what to do.
I thank you in advance. And I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

i actually like to use the haunted key. its specially balanced so itll spin by itself but u have to tilt ur hand but just barely. hope that helps =):D
I went to my friends show yesterday (saturday) and saw something new he had squeezed in there. Basically it was a moving thumb. Never seen anythign like that before but the friggen thumb moved away from his hand to his other hand.. looked pretty good. But also kind of fake. Lol, you dont need much IQ to get the basics..
And he got this other trick. not an illusion though. just cool..lol
He had a bag with a lot of small pieces of paper warped. On each piece of paper, it said something. Then the magician wrote something on a new piece of paper which another spectator help on to. Now, the spectator not holding the prediction took his hand down in the bag and took out a piece of paper. and believe it or not, it matches the prediction. and after he had taken his piece of paper, you can take out all of the other pieces and check that every piece got different names on them and they do.
I havent seen something like this before either. It's a clever method yet an EXTREMELY easy one.
Hoope you understand what i just wrote..

Well this kind of question is rather blunt and ritorical
do you have any SPECIFIC tricks you want?
Freaky? Body manipulation?

Not really specific, but probably body manipulation or just something that scares people and gives a good effect. Something that makes people scream but they still stay to watch the rest of it. That's the kind of stuff I need.

Well, if you want a trick that gets an awesome reaction, Stigmata always works for me. But if you want to veer away from card magic, I always get good reactions from coin penetrations. Bullet, factory sealed, Sinful, or if you have a PK ring then Prohibiton is awesome too. Also, Melting Point is a really cool effect, melt a penny thru a glass table. Thats all I got off the top of my head, hope it helps

sean fields has a new trick called sick. its very easy, but u need a folding coin for it
u take the foldin coin and take it apart so u have a small piece and then teh bigger piece.
teh small piece gets put on ur arm and usein rubber cement fold over the skin just like in saw and needle thru arm, only ur hiding a small piece of coin, add fake blood for effect.
then all u do is show the other part of the coin, in ur mouth and ur ready to go
borrow a coin, and palm it as u go to put it in ur mouth, show the part of the coin that is in ur mouth and pretend to swallow it, really just hide it in ur cheek
then take a knife and fake cut ur arm and start to straighten it out, the rubber cement will unstick and teh small part of eh coin will start to protrude, u then steal it as u bring teh previously palmed coin into view and hand it out

I JUST REMEMBERED THIS RIDICULOUS TRICK!!!! holy crap!!! its saw by sean fields. trauma reminded me of one of his tricks. \
its a super badass trick that i showed a bunch of people even my teachers. they were disgusted but they would not stop watching.
the effect is takin a piece of string of anykind and rubbing it across ur neck and when u lift ur head the string is in your throat. you could see the bulge in your throat its AWESOME!!
so the secret is a glue stick haha
just rub the glue stick in the spot you want the thread to be on your neck
then take the string and place it on the spot of your neck.
after that just rub it on your neck with very very little pressure if your doin it right it shouldnt even really hurt but do that while your head is down so your neck covers the string because of the string that show it to everyone. ITLL SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF EVERYONE!!!
when your done just "RIP" it out of your neck and kind of rub ur neck with ur fingers and ask people if they can c the skin comin off. let them check out the string and do whatever else you want then just stick the string in ur pocket and enjoy the terror you just put in your spectators eyes =):D

Saw is not done with a glue stick. It's done with rubber cement.

it can be done with a glue stick, if ur doin the trick almost straight away. the only reason rubber cement is used is cause it remains tacky for a long period of time, glue stick will dry out after a short while, but it can still b used

Yeah it can. But you have you only have about a minute and a half to find a target, deliver your patter/introduction/presentation to the trick. In my opinion, it's too much of a risk that the glue will dry out by then. The only advantage that I see to using glue is that it washes off easier.
