I recommend Derren Brown's Pure Effect to absolutely everyone, although this may set you back £100 on eBay. You can always sell it on though...

I consider myself not an advanced but nearly to it. And yes were talking about card magic :)

Card magic, for sleights and such galore, Erdnase, for a mix of tricks and sleights, The Paper Engine would have to be my fav, also I have heard good things about the card effects in Five times Five Japan(there is a few coin tricks in there aswell, and there is some vids on youtube showcasing the effects)

Oh, and if you want a book thats guarenteed hard and will take a lot of practice and you will rip your hair out, try By Forces Unseen
