I have been hearing this for a long time now. Would anyone care to elaborate? Are all gaff and custom decks using the BICYCLE back going to cease existing?
I haven't heard much about this, so can some one elaborate?
Thanks In Advance,

all gaff cards and custom decks that i know of that use bicycle backs, are made by USPC....
but if there is a company out there foolish enough to mass produce decks....with stolen artwork......it needs to stop.

Im pretty sure the decks already created by E and T11 will continue to be printed by USPC, but you arn't allowed to get new design's printed up.

Of course nobody but the USPC can print Bicycle backs. If you mean custom decks by USPC, the news is they won't allow new custom decks to have the Bicycle backs anymore. Old designs will still continue.

Exactly. Ghosts, shadow maters, vintage etc will continue to be printed but the USPC won't allow new designs to be printed, unless they have a diff back design.
Here's a question. Will the new custom cards still be reffered to as bikes even tho they dont have the bicycle back design?

Lol, none of the theory 11 decks use the bicycle back design, karnivals don't have it either.. So what are you guys talkin' bout? xD
And the red and blue gaff deck etc that have the bicycle back design are printed by the USPC I'm pretty sure.

Its its just a simple matter of not printing new gaff decks on the bicycle cards, thats no big deal. They have plenty of back designs like bee backs, bull dogs, mavericks, aviators, hoyle, the list goes on and on. ---- Its not a big surprise that they are doing this since they used to never allow gaffed decks to be printed at all, you have to make your own gaffed cards if you wanted them, it was a whole thing of not wanting to seem like they printed trick cards because serious card players want a trusted deck of cards. ---- I also think a few people are confused just from this post, Yes the USPCC (united states playing card company) prints bicycle cards and prints most gaffed cards from ellustionist to theory 11 decks. The concern here is not someone copying their design by the USPCC deciding to stop production of any new magic cards with bicycle back designs. ---- If it turns out they will not allow any gaffed cards to be printed on any of their stock, then we could be in some trouble.

What I gathered from that when I read it was more like lets say I owned a company and I wanted to get cards made for whatever reason, you cant use bicycle backs. So Pat's Catering Company couldnt have the bicycle back on custom cards, but I imagine Ellusionist will still be able to use it if they should want to create more decks. I dunno why, I just get the feeling they will since theyre mass produced as opposed to me ordering 20 decks, they order thousands. Just what I personally think it means.
