I was just wondering about why everybody hates sleeving. Look at Rocco Silanos fism act and the the base of it is sleeving. So if somebody can actually give me a good reason why its so bad i think i'll understand but right now i think sleeving is something we should all practice.

I dont think they hate it... But so many people say oh ya well lets see up your sleeves... Cause theres always that famous sentance "nothing up my sleeves.." So many movies and stuff say they and people just always question it... I dont think anyone can say its terrible...

When i say this i kind of mean almost like a routine with music not necessarily close up. Like what i do is lemon juice to lemon and i've never been commented on it but my point of view is if you do it good they will be amazed and not think about it.

Silver Dream by Justin Miller is a great routine and it uses sleeving. When magicians make a coin vanish from there hands, I think that one of the first things that comes to a laymen's mind is it must be up his sleeves.
But, as far as I know there are proper methods to sleeving coins. And I'm pretty sure that there are books and videos that you can pick up that teaches the art of sleeving. Just search the Internet if you're serious about it.
Also, say for example you have a coin up your sleeve and an audience member wants to see up your sleeves. What you can do is just as your rolling up your sleeves, guide the coin up your sleeve as well. When the audience member is satisfied, roll your sleeve back down bringing the coin back as well.
Just a tip you might have already known, but if not I hope it's useful.

Nothing wrong with sleeving, I love it, just here are the problems that most people have with it.
1. Its difficult to sleeve good, anyone can sleeve, but to do it good, off beat and natural takes work, and most people, well, suck at it and wont do anything about it.
2. Dont bring attention to your sleeves, and dont wear massive ass sleeves. Those are big problems, look at homer liweg, rocco, or even justin miller, when they do sleeving they dont bring attention to the sleeves and they are smooth and act natural.
You can fly by a lot of spectators with sleeving, just need to be good at it.

Did Justin Miller perform it for you at a lecture or somewhere else? How's his misdirection in person, pretty strong? Finally did he perform anything else?
I know it's a lot of questions but reply if you can.

This is the best advice i've heard it's all true but i wear a suit jacket which has pretty big sleeves but it looks really good with my sleeving tricks.

his misdirection is flawless in person.....and he is a pretty nice guy too.
we have hung out a few times.....
my favorite effect he does is one called triune......it's like the invisible palm, but with coins.
