Great, great tutorial. But then again, what else could we expect from Magick? Nice job man, it was a big help. I appreciate it.
Lol, they worship you, Dana:D
But it's good to see that some made a tutorial for it. Quite many has been asking for it.

Nice, thanks! I used to do it with rubber cement but the card was soft even after putting it between books for week. so i'll try with scotch gluestick :)

motaz you got to give it around a day or two for the card to turn stiff again.

you didnt read his post very well....he did wait...
and if you watched the video....you'd know that if you use rubber cement....it doesn't matter how long you wait .....its never going to get stiff.
he was using the wrong glue.

I never knew you were supposed to split the face off of the second card too...
Thanks for that. Currently got like 3 double backers and facers under some books

i stripped the crappy cards for the video......
today i stripped a bunch of shadow masters.....those are the cards i use to perform.... and the gimmicks have to match.
i go thru a lot of cards....for many of my effects cards get signed by the spectator..... i go thru a couple decks a week.
and i cant change decks in the middle of the performance. that wouldn't look very good....it would look like i needed special cards for certain tricks(like trick decks).....very unprofessional.
whatever cards you use........you need to use the same kind for everything.

Wow lol look at all these suckups :D
But yeah that actually really did help. I was creating this effect where you peal a card put lighter flashpaper in it, and glue it back up creating a brilliant effect. But I could never strip it.. Thanks so much you just gave my new effect the brilliance to it.
Btw if you say my trick for sale on a site. You'll know who i'll Thank.
Yours truly...

Can you use spray adhesive (Elmer's) instead of a gluestick?

as i said in the video...spray is messy to apply, and you won't get the proper feel...the card will feel soft and flimsy.

Good video tuts...But I must mention...is it not splitting, rather than stripping ?
I'm thinking in terms of a "stripper deck"...Sorry I'm one of those detail type people :)
