min is angle zero, wow and card to mouth. i will always do all 3 in my performances without a doubt. and all of them get massive reactions
I really like David Copperfields laser illusion. That's my favourite.
but the ones I can do, it'd have to be my twist on the "Hedbergs Peak". Modified card to mouth with a routine to it and color changes:)

I know I have to search. I did and couldn't find it. :(
It sucks looking for something and not being able to find it.

traum, do you do the card to mouth david blaine does? Where the mercury card folded card winds up in you mouth?
Brown Rice

It's folded when he puts the cards behind his back and when he brings the cards into view, the backs are facing him. He holds the folded card against the backs of the cards. When they say he didn't find the card, he brings the cards to his mouth and blows while he releases the card facing the audience. They say he's wrong again so he does the same move but this time, he brings the cards up slightly closer to his mouth and sort of tilts his head back so that no one can see him using his thumb to push the folded card into his mouth. He tucks it into the side of his mouth and continues with the trick. Eventually he starts coughing and gagging and spits the card out. Hope this helps.

traum, do you do the card to mouth david blaine does? Where the mercury card folded card winds up in you mouth?
well first you dont need to be using the mercury fold.....when i go card in the mouth i do a three way fold so the card is much smaller than the mercury...
and the cards never go behind my back....i palm the card and do a one hand card fold.
Heiny 500 or Extreme Burn.
I love the reactions and expressions of peoples faces when one of the two are performed.

no i do the one taught at theory 11.
it follows form an ACR
i then go into a card to mouth routine where the card goes to my mouth a second time, then offerin to show specs how the card gets then i then tell them its easier if i only have their card to work with and vanish the whole deck, then the card is again in my mouth, then i take the card out to give to them and it vanishes completly
its a lot more visual than it sounds lol

You can't say your favourite trick is "coin shell"... :/
Anyway the ones I perform most often and enjoy performing and get the best reactions over are:
3 card trick; My take on Derren Brown's, a crazy, eye-popping display of skill with cards jumping to pockets, mouths card boxes and even under spectators' glasses. It includes an impromptu haunted deck as well as an impromptu card at any number. I may only do part of it in a performance, but if I get a chance to do the whole routine I love it. One of those tricks that makes you smile just to perform.
Angle Zero; I think this is the best card to impossible location there is, plus it leaves the spectator with a souvenir.
Invisible deck; An invaluable prop. I opt for Derren Brown's over-the-phone presentation.
And then as far as the darker side of things are concerned:
Luke Jermay's "For Andruzzi"; Fully impromptu, perfect pulse-syop, which is then performed on a spectator's pulse. This for me is the closest I feel I can get to doing real magic because there is no method (You'll know what I mean if you know how it's done). An absolute joy to perform.
Touching on Hoy; Near-perfect mind-reading for the stage.
Smoke (Derren Brown); Wow i really love Derren Brown lol. This has to be one of my favourite tricks because of its beauty. If you have never seen it before then search for "Stephen Fry on Derren Brown" on youtube. Pure elegance, and another that is deeply satisfying to perform.

Hey, I'd say my favorite trick is, Blueprint by Chris Kenner.. You can purchase it on 1on1 at www.Theory11.com/1on1 But just watch the performance vid and you can figure it out, only skill required is
-Double Lift-
-False cuts-
That's truely it, and it gives the best reactions, and their left stunned, and you can move along with another trick, or walk away leaving them speechless..

i love the splash bottle from Damien Vapperau and card ho mouth. Both requires a notcomplex handling and giveshuge reactions. The bottle production especially. But my real favourites are the floating cigarete and quit smoking.

About the discussion in the card ho mouth, I perform the bucks' one. No bend and superfast with a little variation on the double i made. The Blaine version has never conviced me since the fact the card remains behind the back too long. I really would like to see the magick version. Also French Kiss from David. Stone is very nice.

The cards don't have to remain behind the back that long. Just do a mercury card fold.

mercury is a bad for card in mouth....your much better off with a fold that leaves you with a smaller load.
a 3 way or 4 way one hand fold is much better.

hey traum, can you reveal your card to mouth please? I would greatly appreciate it?
Brown Rice
01-21-2009, 03:58 AM
True, it probably wont fit in your mouth as well. But if you do a mercury card fold, then put it behind your back, you just have to worry about sliding the creases on the card instead of actually folding the card. And why are you asking Traum to reveal it? That's the method.

traums card to mouth is completely different from the ones mentioned. From his description, it is similar to dan and dave's hand to mouth, but with 3 phases. I can infer theres a deck ditch, but I'm curious about the specifics, like how to fool them twice.
I love the Muscle pass, because you can do so many things with it. You can make a coin go though anything visually, make a coin defy gravity, or even reverse time, with NO GIMMICKS AT ALL, no magnets, strings, or pulls. The only thing that you need to remember when learning the muscle pass is to never stop practicing. I recommend the Muscle pass dvd by Jay Noblezada at penguinmagic.com for learning this.
I also like my own version of 'the transported card' as it has come to be known at my school...I'm like famous for it, and it's so simple.
I also like making other people's money disappear and making expensive objects appear in there place and keeping them. =Þ

The muscle pass is good, my fav using it is the stenburg penetration, its a coin through spectators hand, more of a 1 on 1 thing but its good, and I wouldnt recommend Jays dvd, from all that I have read it is mediocre and jay doesnt even do the move right himself, he lifts his bottom hand as he does the muscle pass, big no no, you do not help your muscle pass by adding momentum. David Kongs video is supposed to be much better.
also Acr would be my fav

My favourite effects are:
Loops - (my ultimate favourite. simple, but explosive effects. when you perform a powerful effect in front of they eyes, and their face just melts... wow lol. effects like the Haunted Deck, Outkast Revelation, Shadow Reveal, Levitating Glasses and Animated Fork really get's good reactions.)
Card in Hand - a great card trick. just fools them every single time, and they never get how i do it.
Bullet - get's amazing reactions after i show them the bottle completely empty and hand it out at the end.. it's phenomenal.
There are more, but these three are always in my top three when someone asks me to do something..magical :o
