I just finished...

remaking the blink with the tab... And I did it extremely well. It's thin as a regular card and its very neat and everything is nicely put together

but unfortunately you can see the tab inside one of the flaps so i'll have to remake it using face cards

and I must say without any cover, it changes faster and cleaner than a snap change

if any of you saw on gianni's video on magicisdead which was deleted he performs it the way i'm practicing now and it looks amazing..

I remember the person who saw it said it was immediate editing but i beg to differ now

yeah i actually took pics but using my sisters cell.. probably should've used the real camera but whatever

for some reason it saved as a fucking video and i can't transfer it because the phone won't connect. but mm i'll try taking some pics right now using the real camera :)

Actually forget the pics... it was explained on the forums here before but i'll do it better i guess:


take a double backer and cut out the rectangle on the back with the 2 angels

put the rectangle aside for later

now take 2 regular bicycle cards and split the faces ... keep both leftover back and middles

fold the split faces in half exactly IMPORTANT if you fold the faces like a normal blink card you'll get the gimmick i'm using. if you fold them the other way, you get the og change handling gimmick

now take your leftoevers from splitting 1 card of the cards and cut a slit using a razor thing across the middle of the area where the rectangle is. It should be as close as you can get it to the middle

mark your cut out rectangle as well across the middle. Now take the rectangle and slide it through the slit until it reaches the middle

take 1 folded split face, and line it up on the leftover card and glue it. now, if you glue the tab [rectangle] onto the split face it should be on perfect.

next just glue on the ther split face and let it dry and put it under some books and there you go.

I'd also just like to note... USE FACE CARDS any others and the tab will show through .. just not very easily at a distance but it will

if you can't split cards watch magick's video...

if you want to use a regular full card instead of the leftovers to make the gimmick, go right ahead. it's more stable in my opinion just thicker

and i suggest sanding down the faces to make it smoother

and expect the video some time this week i guess... i need to make the gimmick for the og handling anyways

Yeah i saw your post. I couldn't split cards at that time though ... lol this thing is great though

hah i have 2 of them. But you can use not only face cards. you can do something so the mini double backer is half normal half white. white half is inside the flap.

i would say u havent cut the slit big enough...its no good just runnin the knife thru to create a very thin slit, the card has a thickness to it and will bend the card as its tryin to switch form one direction to the other...the slit needs to be more of an opening rather than just a slit to allow the card to move more freely
