My Routine

My routine starts with Dream card by Darwin Ortiz. It is basically where you show a red backed card with a signature on it than use a blue backed deck and the spec. signs a card and it ends up being the orginal red backed card in the wallet. Next I would dump about 6 foriegn coins out of the wallet and pretend to randomly pick 3 and go into a copper, silver, brass routine. Than I would do a deck switch from the original one used and do angle zero making their piece apear in a sealed envelope in the same wallet as before. I am kind of thinking of saying something like "Some people live out of their purses, I on the other ahnd live out of my wallet", or something along those lines. My closer is the insivible deck.

well i dont recomend starting your routine with a card trick.....but that is up to you....it just never worked as well for me.

and i dont know if this is going to be the whole routine or if you have more stuff that you didn't mention...but as you wrote it you are doing 3 card tricks with 3 different decks......thats 2 deck switches in under 8 minutes.....

with the effects you named......
i'd open with invisible deck(this deck needs to match the others you use.....the spectator needs to think only 1 deck is in play)
then do CSB,
dream card,
(dont do a deck switch here, just palm in the card you need for angle zero),
finish with angle zero and have a couple bussiness cards in the envelope with the missing piece.

Ya I ordered CSB but it hasn;t got here yet since it is comming from like Los Angeles and i live in Eastern Canada. But it should be here anyday now :)

what ever effect you open with.....it needs to be short and visual and not involve a spectator.......

the first effect needs to be something that establishes you as a magician....and it needs to be something they just watch....

effects that use the spectators sig are bad opening effects.....

dont try to involve them to soon, get their attention first, and then they will want to join in.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I have been having a lot of trouble making the effects run smoothly into each other. I had been intending to use Bill Malone's patter for the invisible deck as i think that is so funny and well put together.

I have decided to take out one card trick and put something else in. Which card trick do you think i should take out, angle zero or the invisible deck? I am replacing the one i take out with extreme burn.
