Hi. For all you TT owners and Tarantula owner, I was wondering if the tarantula could be applied to dark skinned magicians. I know it's very risky, but is it still possible. I'm also new to IT, reels, and levitation. I heard the tarantula is the best IT out there, so as a beginner, should I start with tarantula if I'm never going back to another reel? I'm also thinking of starting with spun + tarantula. Both seem great tricks to add to my street magic routine.

you could always use makeup or paint to get it to match your skintone....same goes for the thumbtip.

Yeah like magick said, U can always make it the right colour.
And as for the reel, You will need spares. For the Hover-ring trick, you need to break some off after the performance, depending on which one you want too do.
But still you can always use it for other tricks etc. Be creative.
I dont use mine, so im selling it on trademe (like ebay but for NZ)

I personally do not own Tarantula, but is it for beginners? I would of started off with a cheap/normal ITR, but feel free to do what you do.
Um, skin colour, I don't know. It is often a problem with thumb tips and sanada gimmicks and stuff. But, I am not that experienced in magic, so hopefully someone can give me a name, but wasn't their once a magician that used a red thumb tip, and got away with it? Misdirection should always somewhat help.

you can use tarantula as a beginner, its not that hard to handle with the gimmick, actually its pretty easy, you just have to watch out how you are moving your hand.
in the dvd yigal tells in which way you can change the skin colour, with sandpaper and make up you can do what you need.
i love the tarantula, i´m using it all the time

If you are dark skinned
then your hands are like white at your bottom part right your palm and stuff?
then you can use it but still risky

I dont think it matters... people never notice when its a white thumbtip on a darker person, why should they notice this?

I tried using a D'lite in a dim light situation, but they always see it. Now I try do to D'lite in pitch black in my stage shows.

How are you holding your thumbs... Tips towards them or just all willy-nilly?

Sometimes, I hold them off willy nilly, but most of the time I hold them tips toward them as another magician told me to do. Anyway back to the tarantula discussion. Yigal shows you how to change the tarantula's skin color?
