So i have been to Vegas many times but am making another trip down. I was curious if any of you have made their way to Vegas and have any recommendations of what to see or what to do.
I have seen the Mac King show, but will be seeing it again. I always get free tickets to Amazing Johnthan so i might go see him in his new theater, and already have floor seats for Penn and Teller.
I am not into Lance Burton or Copperfield... or Angel, plus the prices they charge to way to much...
But do any of you have any suggestions of must see magic shows, or know of any magic places or events i must attend. I am going the first of May.
And yes i will be hitting up Denny and Lee.
hmm.. Meet Jeffery Alexander Black. He's a magician:)

My dad just got back.. He said he went to a bar where everything is made of ice... WHen you walk in they make you put a jacket, hat, and gloves... Its called -5 or below 5 because thats what the degrees is... The cups, seats, everything is made of ice....But Do you go down to see flair bartending? Its very entertaining...

ive been living in las vegas my whole life, so im sure i can help. yes, definitely go to denny and lees! hang out a while there they love to talk. and make sure you ask them to see the back room. its awesome, their stage is behind a bookshelf, what could be cooler? i dont really know what their is to check out besides the shows, but you may want to check out the stars of magic live show.
here is a coupon for it and the times and everything:
http://www.lasvegas-nv.com/stars-of-magic-coupon.htm
its sort of one of the more underground shows in vegas.
it is a very small show and very inexpensive, only like 12 bucks, but i would still reccomend going. also, at the same hotel that is at, dixie dooley has a show. if you go to the stars of magic show, you will probably see dixie dooley anyway and they love to chat about magic after the show at the bar there. the host of the show used to work at the magic shop i work for but theyre having alot of financial trouble right now so they had to cut him. they even lost their shop and are running out of a house right now. but if you happen to see the host afterwards, bill robinson, and ask him about jene, the magician from amazing clowns, he should remember me.

Well they did have a roof leek and the carpet was damaged. I know Denny the owner of the shop and his other shop in Baltimore.
The shop has a great library but the guy who works there is not the best salesman nor friendly magician, but what ever i like to support local magic shops when ever i am in town because they are a dieing breed.
It is the best magic shop in Vegas, compared to Houdinis.

umm... i dont think there is. its not on my calendar. haha i mark all the lectures now. it seems like there are way way more lectures in baltimore and actually very few at the vegas shop. and, yeah, the owner isnt that friendly of a magician, but there is always like 5 other magicians in there and theyre usually pretty nice.
and one note about that stars of magic show, the reason i say you should go to it isnt that it is that great of a show, but to see what a couple of had been stars in magic have become now. its somewhat sad, but its something you should see. the show is about an hour, but when you go into the room, it will seem like something from a twilight zone. its just a little sad to me, but something you should see.
