Hi. I know I've been posting a lot of "Questions about..." but I'm starting to make a street routine with 3 major tricks. I've gotten lots of tricks before but those were just fun tricks for the family. I'm starting to get a bit serious in magic even if I'm pretty young (P.S. not too young to go out for street magic).

Anyway about my question:
1) Too good to be true?:
-NO set-up.
-NO gimmicks.
-Completely Impromptu.
-Easy to do.
-Spectators won't be able to figure it out(But they shouldn't be able to find out any other effect anyways).

2) For all those dark skinned magicians, I found a post on penguin magic forums saying:
"I ve got a darker skin color, and recently purchased the dvd, allthough I was a little disappointed because the effect doesn t really work on my skin because of the darker tone, so I still think this effect is great but I JUST CAN T DO IT, so watch out if your skin is darker, and the darker it is the harder it will be to perform the effect." Feedback please

3.) Stigmata worth it for a top 3 in street magic? I personally love impromptu, street magic, and some-what if not completely original-object-typed magic.

I'll ask more questions if it comes to my mind. :)

stigmata isn't going to be very visible if you have dark skin....if you are dark skinned i would find another effect.

You've seen the performance video, right? It really is as clean as it looks and sounds. The move to have the writing appear on your arm is so easy to do as well as so easy to find a cover for.

Frankly, it's not much different from having a piece of paper with a prediction made in advance, except for the added kick of the prediction appearing on your arm instead.

I have darker skin, but it still works. As long as red splotches are still visible on your skin, it should work. Perhaps not as visible as on paler, skin, but hey...

This is one of my staple illusions. I usually always perform any one of the methods taught on the dvd. I always have business cards in my wallet so I tend to do that one more times than not. Completely impromptu.

So how does the red blood stains come on? And what's the bottom line for dark skin? Will work or will it won't work?

the marks are scratched onto your skin( that is all there is to it)....so how dark is to dark?

scratch yourself and see if your skin turns red....will it be visible to a spectator.

Hm. I tried it out and it was very hard to see. I mean I could still see it if I had more light, but it feels not fully strong of an impact with my skin. Dang, I was really thinking of getting this trick for my street routine.
