Yeah.. dont get books.. or any DVDs..lOL!!!
Just get some magic equipment. Something that is not a trick, but a thing you have to have in order to do a certain trick. like a thumb tip:)

that has got to be one of the sutpidest things u have ever said espen.....thats the worst advice ever.
how are u gonna learn how to use those certain items properly if u dont have books teaching you how to use them
my advice is dont listen to espen and get as many books.....at the very least a dvd, bu i would personally go for books.....on the subjects u like.....card magic there are some great books out there, my advice is to pick a magician that u really like the style of and get a book by that person if u can. its fair enough us tellin u to buy art of astonishment but if those tricks dont appeal to u or paul harris is not the kind of style of magician u like then whats the point in learning the tricks....i personally dont really like paul harris' approach to magic, i think his tricks and also his routines are out dated and altho i have all of the art of astonishment books i dont think i use a single trick in my daily routine
i would probably go for a generic book that teaches various sleights...if ur into coin magic bobo's is deffinatly a good book to start with
Because he wont be able to understand a shit in a book. ANd buying a DVD is just fucking pointless. I can give him whatever he wants. now shut up sean:)
