So i knew how to do it all real basic more comedy than magic.

But one thing that struck us was the chair vanish. We do more close up than stage but we're going to begin some stage magic. So what I'm looking for is help on the chair vanish.

the chair vanish to me is obvious really.
I think it was just a trap door
and a molding of a head.

it's an old illusion called a dekolta chair, and it requires a trapdoor in the stage...

Yes that's what we knew but sadly there isn't a trapdoor in every stage:mad: . So how should we do it? The stage has a back door from the stage I guess we could use some sort of cover to crawl back to the door whcih is behind the curtains so idk.

Sadly there's an audience and I think they'd see they're reflection..:( But how would you place it otherwise?

Well theres another method you can use for alot o vanishes that does not require trap doors, mirrors,or fake platforms...
Your going to need some thin wires...
And the person in the chair has to be holding the blanket...
just attach the wire to the blanket and get two assistants(unseen of course)
From side to side.
But make sure somethings covering them.
When the person in the chair holds the blanket up he runs behind and the people controling the wires can shake it to act like hes holding it while he goes out the back.Or they can slowly lower it like a shrinking vanish.
Make sure you have the proper lighting so the wires are unseen to the audience.
You can do alot of self vanishes using wires.

I think for the cube, he somehow gimmicked it and attached something. Then, when he covered it with his hand, he moved it behind his tie which was also gimmicked. This is only one of the ways I thought about. The other way is that he left one portion of his shirt unbuttoned, and when he covered the cube, he slipped it behind his tie and partially into his shirt while sucking in his stomach. He then used his tie to cover it.

Sorry, wrong description. I thought it was because of his giant tie. In another performance, it is not the case. It is actually a shirt packet drop. After watching it again, I think that is it. However, I don't get how it appears.
