Should we only post magic videos that teach you how to do magic tricks

or

should we keep posting both performance and tutorial videos as long as we mark on the link, which it is?

Let us know.

Thanks.

well, the website is LEARNmagictricks.org, so I want more learning. I mean, I am pretty sure most people are getting mad because no one will reveal the real Halo.

Performance videos can stay. So we all can argue among ourselves how it is really done. Screw someone elses opinion says one person! I like my idea!

I think performances are good and all.
But it seems most users on this site want to learn, more then show and think.
So I suppose tutorials only, I still say performances should stay.

well therers pros and cons....we like to discuss the performances..if there good and then we wait for a tutorial and dont get one....just learning the trick straight up is good and all but then theres no discussion about it id leave it the way it is...beacuase if ppl wanna sell that trick then y should they give the secret away its not fair...id leave everything the way it is

learning magic and tutorials are great. but the real tutorial you can ever learn is through watching the whole routine. my suggestion would be to separate them in the main page. one space for new tutorials and one page for new magic performances.
remember guys magic is not just about knowing how to do it. it is also about the beauty of the trick. i realized that there has been not much emphasis on the appreciation of the trick, when many people are just trying to know how it is done. i would suggest that every tutorial would link to some performances of the same trick. This would show viewers how the trick is being done and what effect can be brought out with a good routine and technique.

magic is an art. enjoy it guys!

i say keep performances because if you just made a new trick, you can show it off to everyone.

When I first joined this site all I wanted to do was learn (and so I did). Btu after awhile there grew to be more and more videos which were only preformances which made me angry. As time passed I didn't really mind it anymore. I never go to the homepage anymore because I find 85% videos are remakes (lets see how to do mercury 10 different wayw). I mean, I appreciate tutorial videos as much as the next person but we don't need the samer explaination more and 1-2 times. Back to the main topic; I don't think there should be preformance videos and if their are seperate them because I had been finding I had to sort through all the videos to find an EXPLAINATION I wanted.

If theres no seperating them than please, no preformances (I see hundreds of them on youtube).

I believe we need both tutorials and performances in separate columns. This way, one that has finished learning and practicing one of his/her routines they can show others and ask for feedbacks. However, many of the videos seem to pop out of nowhere, both the performances and the videos. Also at times there seems to be too many videos, that go about doing performances that take less than a minute. Something needs to be done to change this.

Also I wish to know, how come I am not a moderator anymore?

I think that there should be two seperate pages, one for each.
