This is an amazing opportunity, and IMO you should perform something original if you have anything good enough. It's a good chance to get noticed in the magic industry.

Saying that, I dont have anything i'd be confident with...

If its in like studio with presenters and stuff, id recommend doing For Andruzzi after your main effect, if theres a chance to be casual (it's Luke Jermay's where you stop your pulse then stop a spectators).

Apart from that idk... do you have an Extractor? I'd recommend doing a version of DeLong's unBelievable. Here's a discription:
The mentalist's pet. Any card is selected and a word is chosen. It can be any card and any word.

NOW.. With an empty hand you reach into your back pocket and produce a sealed envelope.

SLOWLY.. The envelope is opened to reveal a single playing card. It matches the card the spectator selected!

BUT WAIT.. As you turn the card over it is revealed that across the back is written exactly the same word the spectator was thinking of!
And with the Extractor it's as clean as it sounds.
Its very briefly explained on the Extractor DVD, otherwise PM me and i'll explain it if you're interested...

I would do appearing bowlingball for an opener.. then produce a deck of cards from the bowling ball.. then do a simple card trick and give an orange to someone.. then do card to orange as a kicker at the end:D

I was thinking something simple but effective, None of the long routine sort of stuff, Im not into that

consider having one flashy quick opener and a strong main effect assuming time permits that.

For example Joshua Jay was on the today show and he did a production of a champagne bottle. It sounds lame but its impressive to laymen... I would look into that.

An important point is that you need to consider doing magic within the first 10 seconds. Bend a key you found on the floor. Do Jay Sankey's wrap it up with gum you happened to be chewing. Make a coin disappear with a raven.... Whatever it is, make sure that its pure magic, no patter just visual magic.

Then do your main effect. I would personally do jay sankey's Just Imagine. Its short enough and stunning enough to drop jaws... Sure you're using a trick deck, but if you do a casual few quick flourishes, its obvious that the cards aren't doing the magic for you. Just have control over the situation. ... I'm pretty sure lance burton used a trick deck when he did an appearance on one of those late night talk shows. (he used an invisible deck i think)

The simpler the better. You don't want the spectators to be lost in the effect.Consider doing anniversary waltz or autograph. Just make sure you're able to minimize your script and keep everyone engaged.

Do one of Dan and Dave's tricks. Yes maybe now it sounds lame to you but damn, the stuff is sooooo visual. So maybe have them peek at the card and do GOAT change ;)
Then you have to do something incredible. My friend on national tv did Hundy 500. It's incredible. But I don't really remember where you can't do it because of plastic money. I guess New Zealand. So maybe you could do that.
Also, you could do Anniversary Waltz or Autograph. They leave incredible souvenirs. Angle zero is also great, but pro's don't like it because lot of us use it. Damn, guys.. Layman often don't know ANY tricks at all :)
So yeah. I recommend these:

Anniversary Waltz/Autograph
Hundy 500/Prophet
GOAT/Click change with selection
Distortion
And this kind of stuff

Thanks, Goat change may not be a smart one haha. Just incase that doesnt work out right, I cant do it perfect everytime yet, And autograph looks neat i was checking it out before.

But yeh Stan, dont rule out my suggestions, Paul Vigil performed the trick I'm talking about on Hocus Pocus, and went down amazingly. Even with what is IMO a very poor perfomance. PLUS like I say; if you have an extractor this can be so so clean.

Anywayz, I dunno. I guess Motaz's I like ideas, Anniversary Waltz should actually be pretty good. Has anyone said just do a force? Like a riffle force say something like, "A lot of people say that the decks have markings on the back and that I can read them whenever I spread the cards, so we are going to choose a card a little differently today" and then just force a card, have a dupe in an envelope or have a stapled prediction or something.
