I dont know. When I saw it I thought it was to, but it couldn't be a cut becuase he was moving.

its very easy to do this on a computer...it is most certainly edited.

u can easily put a filter along the bottom of the movie and the guy just drops the skateboard normally, then when he adds the filter later u never seen the board as it lands, it will just seemingly vanish...its a video after effect,

i dont know why people asume a cut or a stop and start camera effect when someone says its a video edit lol

Yeah I also thought it was a crop out which is what you said but then when he stands up that eliminates that possibility becuase if it were his legs wouldn't move.

Look at :39/40. If it isnt a camera edit, I'd say he has a hole in the ground covered by the rug. Or the rug could be elevated.
