Fake? How would one define fake. Would you say it was to prepare one such thing that is somewhat deceptive, or would you say that it was a task that was never accomplished? Either way, Criss Angel may some how satisfy both of these meanings. Yet, he manages to fool us all (most of us, any ways). Maybe your 89.7% average friend is right, but remember this. Deception is what is used in magic, and this involves the state of being "fake", therefore almost all magicians tend to be criticized or being entitled to being fake.

Camera Tricks - CA sometimes, DC sometimes (not exactly sure, don't watch much of him)

Stooges - CA sometimes, DC all the time (he's a stage magician, what stage magician doesn't have assistants while on stage.)

Entertainment - CA very entertainable (if that was a word) and DC, very entertainable.

So saying Criss Angel sucks, and is fake, is saying David Copperfield sucks, and is fake.

By the way, think about it when you say fake. You do magic right? What you are doing is "fake"

if ur going to call criss angel a fake, than anyone who uses a gimmick is technically a fake. and i think camera editing counts as a gimmick.
actually, i prefer david blaine to criss angel. i think criss angel's a bit full of himself, but maybe that's just me.

Camera Editing is definately not a gimmick. The one thing that I hate is camera editing. You can't call camera editing magic. No one wants to watch a show compiled with camera edits (not talking about criss) because it shows that the person has no talent. If you go argue back saying Camera Editing is a talent than I will refer to Criss, Criss doesn't edit his videos therefor thats not one of his talents. I will say he is a good actor and he can do many good tricks. My biggest problem with him is his hired actors, I can't watch TV magicians any more because I don't know if they are actors or real people. You may say that so long as its entertaining its magic, while that may be half right I like to guess how tricks are done. It's impossible to guess how tricks are done with hired actors that he claims he never met before. You may say those are just like assistants. No with an assistant the magicians tells you tis an assistant. When you have an assistant it leaves so many more possibilities to the secrets of tricks compared to when you do it yourself.

Just a little bit of my opinion.

I'd have to agree with Nightfall. If we think about then all of what we do is fake, we say we're placing the spectators card in the middle, when we're really we're putting into a tilt. Or we say I'm going to put the coin over here when really it's over there. We're all fake, Criss Angel just has a larger budget to make better fakes.

like yesterday i started doing some magic again and i was doing a riffle force to my friends and that was the whole trick! simple trick, very easy presentation, and it looks like your reading their mind!

Yet, on youtube you find dozens of effects using camera editing. For example, the cute little cell phone through bottle. Please, sleeve more bro! It's gone beyond a few edits, and become completely digital. Criss Angel is retarded in my opinion. I'd much rather watch a shǐtty card trick, then sit through an episode of his show.

What I like to call magic is mentalism and hypnosis. I love to perform tricks that confuse people and ones that they dont guess at. Like Mentalism and Hypnosis which when performing people can't guess because they have no clue how you did it. Like my friends dad, he can hypnotise a chicken (makes it fall asleep), I find it really funny and yet I have no clue how he did it. Because in those tricks you can force someone to do something or force them to think something. Real magic is when you leave them wondering.:)

yes he's richer and he probably has BETTER tricks then me (but we usually just figure them out :D ), and no one is hotter then my girlfriend (because if youre going out with someone no one should be hotter :cool: )

Just stop to think for a min. if criss is fake does that mean all the people he performs for if fake just put there by cameras. people can say all they want about him but it is all jealousy for tha fact that they cant figure out or do the things he does, so lets blame everything on trick photography. when you come up with a better explination then put down you hypocritical comments. every one that goes to this site wants to be a magician and i dont see them having the talent to have there own tv show. so before you post something so stupid on this site think about it.
