Hey,
I showed a friend the trick "Card trough deck" and he asked me, if this is also possible with a coin.
So, is there a known way, to push a coin trough a deck of playin cards, right in the hand of the spectator?

I believe there is a gimmick deck which allows coin through the cards. But it is usually done when the deck is on top of a glass cup. I'm not sure if the gimmick deck applies as effectively on the spectator's hands though.

I think criss angel used that deck with his poker chip routine.
I dont think it will have the same effect in the spectators hands though.

1. How does the gimmicked Deck look like?
2. Do you think the effect is better or worse, when you do it in spectators hand?

Ive never personally handled the deck, but the gimmick is completly un-noticable.
and its worse, becuase i think the gimmick drops the coin, and if the spectator is holding the deck, they might not feel it.

But then you could lift the deck up, and they see the coin in there hand.

Just google "coin through deck of cards"
there is about 100 tutorials.

But they all involve a glass. I want a trick like that:
You take a deck of cards, shuffle it, and let the spectator hold the deck. Now you take a coin and push it trough the deck. Maybe they feel the coin, maybe not. If they feel it good. If not, show that your hands are empty, than lift up the deck. The coin is now in the spectators palm.

It would be pretty easy to make your own trick like that.

The effect using a glass is the most common, but you are looking for something that can be done in the spectators hands....
Hmm
i have watched a trick, in which the magician draws a line on the top card of the deck and pushes a card through it, as if it was a slit through all of the other cards, and the rest of the deck. Maybe you could find the method and adapt that.
Paul Harris has an effect in which he uses the pinch vanish to put a coin through a single playing card, and having it fall onto the spectators outstreched palm. That trick would be easily adaptable to a full deck as well.
Finally, you could use a smidgem of magicians wax or sticky tack to hold the coin onto the bottom of the deck, until you disloge it with a tap or nudge with a magic gesture. When incorporated into another vanish of another coin, that would accomplish what you want.
If you wanted the coin to be signed, you could do like in bullet and sign one side and have the spectator sign the other. If you vanish another coin with your signature showing on top and the other about to fall on their palm, they will assume that their sig is on the other side of the first coin.
If you like that/those idea(s) i will explain it in detail and give ideas on how to make it flow smoothly.
Good Luck

yeah really, two coins. Put some wax or whatever you want to stick to the coin on the bottom card, shuffle(keep the sticky coin on the bottom), show the cards. Steal a coin from your pocket or belt or whatever when you spread them to show. load the coin on the bottom card. take annother coin, do your little simulated pushing through move with a little force to drop the coin into their palm.

You could use the pinch vanish and use the motion to dislodge the coin off of the bottom.
In retrospect, the signed method would work, but unless you played your audience well, the signing of it would not seem togo with the ending. Kinda seems too small of an effect to have a signed coin, Right?
Not saying i would not use it , but i might use the same coin for bullet or some kind of transposition, so it could have multiple tricks with it, and tone down the hype of sighning the coin for that one effect.
