Just wanted to know which colour change is popular amongst magicians.

I personally use the twirl, erdanese, classic, and the duck change most often.

I think they are straight forward and effective, and obviously, this is just my opinion.

Which do you prefer to use if you were given the option to use any you are able to do?

I don't do any other colour changes than the shake change and duck change:)

personally, I like the color changes that utilize the clipshift. But shapeshifter and the ego change are good too.

i lvoe colour changes. i use about a dozen or so regularly....a few are just variations of other changes and i dont use all of them in the same act, but the 2 that i do use eveyr time i perform...infact mainly my opening trick utalises the shapeshifter or the ego. both are quick visual changes that really gets people to notice the magic

I used to do Ego a lot it's a nice change but I stop doing it and I'm starting to do Erdnase change more often as I have found it to be one of the best changes if performed properly, and I'm also practicing the Hurrican change it's a very nice change, check it!

I like playing with a whole bunch of them, I cant really remember the names.
I like i think the classic or the erdinase, whichever one it is when you push a card forwards and cover it with the card beneath it. i like the fan change(i think its the fan change, again, I'm not that great with the names) the one where you steal a card underneath the fan and use the fan as a cover to place the card down on the top of the packet. I enjoy palming cards off from the bottom of the deck and placing it on top with a rub.

i don't so much like the one involved in Tivo 2.0. that one doesn't look all that great to me, to be honest. Also I'm bitter towards it because it never works out too well for me hahaa. also that one where you place a double down on the table and use two fans to pull away the top one. i don't like that one very much I'm sure there are more, i just play with them while I'm flourishing around on the bus.

Hmm...

Erdnase, Blizzard, Pass/Midnight Shift, Ego, Twirl and Shake, by order of preference.

I haven't heard of blizzard or pass/midnight change. If anyone could give me a link to a performance, that would be great. I just want to see how it looks like.

Erdnase, Shapeshifter, In Your Face Change, and Shake Change

I forgot "in your face change." A great visual change. I rarely see anyone mentioning or even using it in any of the performances. I personally think it looks really good when performed right. Is this change just forgotten or unpopular?

I LOL'd at the "In your face changed" video. It said:

"Forget that all great changes need cover"

then he freakin' uses his hands as cover LMAO.

Oops sorry... I meant Winter Change. LOL. I KNEW it was about something cold.

By Pass/Midnight Change, I mean I sometimes use the Pass for changes, especially when I can get away with big movements. The Midnight Change is Steve Draun's modification on the Herrmann pass done sideways, so it looks more like a change than a Pass. It's in Secrets Draun From Underground.

I think its just unknown. I have another magician friend named Rob who is really skillful and i havent seen him in forever. he asked me to show him something and i did the In Your Face Change, and he flipped!

He made me show him then and there, and the same day he was using it.

I find it to be more visual than the Ego change, and i makes people doubletake.

How do you clean it up?

You can wave and change the card back, but thats not what you wanted to know , right ?

With practice you can discreetly slip it under the second card, but i normally just put the card in Tenkai palm and dump it on the top when i am done. it is a natural way to leav it on the top, if you take the card off of the bottom as if you were doing the glide.

I tend to do the duck change al the time, without even noticing I'm doing it. People get a casual look at it, which is an extremely good opener it seems.. Not intended though, it's just a random thing you do when you're just messing around with your dick.. I mean the deck of course ;) INSIDE JOKE XD

What I'm saying is that colour changes can be used to much more than changing it; if you think about it, you can use it to catch their attention, do the change on the off beat or just simply telling a story how this is just all a big illusion, and that your card never has existed.. I recommend the shake change for that patter!

:)
