Dont diss balccudi. Just because its known well aroudn today and most people know it doesn't mean its bad. First you want to practice and you want to have good balance. When you can stand at your highest for about 8-10 seconds without tipping or swaying your doen practicing. Next you want baggy pants. They see to give more cover on the foot that the audience can't see. Look at yourself in the mirror (I put a mirror on the ground and looked at my feet untill it looked good to me (I couldn't see the foot). Because if the magician can't see it from their point of view (and he knows what hes looking for) than the spectators can't. Try to wear pants the same colour as your shoes or vice versa because it will blend in more and the shoe is less noticable. Check your angles and make sure your at the right spot. Also make sure your audience is in the right spot. If they are crowded around you the slightest than the trick is ruined

I never said you were dissing "him" i said the trick. There is nothing wrong with it. To laymen and everyone who is not a magician/isn't a learn only, can't preform, magician. Also you can get the exact same height with either one, as a matter of fact most people find it easier to balance on their toes rather than heel which would make Balccudi the higher levetation. Anyways, I'm not here to argue, he asked for advice, i gave it to him, FIN :P

if my new levitation goes too E and they take it you wont have to worry about them seeing anything or them not being able to stand on certain sides of you. It has no angle limitations.

Look, if you're having any problems with the Balducci, then it's not the trick, it's you. You basically said it yourself: "they always see my one foot balancing on my toes". Well, who's fault is that? Get your angles down and practice more. That's all there is.

ok my view is the balducci should always be your first levitation to learn...and if levitations is your thing you should learn as many types as possible and find the one that fits you best and also make it better to either add something to it to make it different or make your very own levitation.....
the balducci leviation gave way to many other types of levitations.

for the balducci levitation...it's all about angles....and also your pants....as with most levitations you do not want tight fitting pants....it's best to use dark pants {mainly blank}....you want your shoes to be black usually...camofaluge {i misspelled} is just as much key as the angle...balducci ONLY works in one angle....also try to be around 4 good steps away from the person........get your self a mirror and practice in front of the mirror.......different angles require different levitation versions.
