and yes it can be done with a signed coin. also, the coin was not switched or broken to begin with! hope you liked it!

Do you use the bite out quarter and switch it out.

david misner
04-24-2007, 04:33 AM
absolutely not. the coin can be inspected before the bend and the halves can be inspected after!

Can the coin be borrowed and not switched out? Becuase Im thinking you sed a vice/another object to bend it a few times (this makes it easy to bend again) and than you just bent it in the oposite direction and it snapped.

Just a guess.

Also you could have called is Dismembered coin.

hey i envited a coin bend just like that ounce dont u just do a coin switch with a coin you put it a vice so it has a crack in it then you bend where the crack is until it bracks cuz that how i do mine

not the one i invented i was talking about b4

david misner
04-24-2007, 03:16 PM
no i don't put it in a vice.... and i said the coin wasn't switched.

Stryker
04-24-2007, 04:19 PM
Is it a real coin?

Also I said it didn't have to be a vice. I ment it was previously bent.

brandyn
04-24-2007, 09:04 PM

david misner
04-24-2007, 11:22 PM

Not bad if you give me the secret i'll post my ebook " How To Deal With Hecklers " which is about dealing with the person in the crowd who says " I know how you did that " if you plan to perform your coin bend for freinds or family you'll need to know how to keep them under control.

david misner
04-25-2007, 01:26 AM
ha thats funny sorry i'm not revealing it anytime soon i just submitted it to E and if it is accepted i am definately not going to reveal it. and i already have many ebooks on how to deal with hecklers so sorry man.

david misner
04-25-2007, 01:54 AM
ok nick of course it isn't impromptu if there was an impromptu coin bend that would be amazing. a gimmick is involved but not in the way most people would think. and thank you dashark.

DaShark
04-25-2007, 02:01 AM
sounds cool. how much is it?

david misner
04-25-2007, 02:04 AM
well it isn't in the market yet, so i dont know. i submitted it to E, and if it gets rejected i will submit it to other places, and maybe sell it myself, on ebay or magic4swap or something. if worst comes to worst, i will end up revealing it...

Synful
04-25-2007, 10:08 PM
dude submit it to penguin magic this is awesome and they will accept almost anything.this kind of material they will put on the front page so everyone sees it

Synful
04-25-2007, 10:15 PM
ok i thought of it for a while and since you said there is a gimmick it must be something you have in your hands that you hook into the coin and you just apply pressure to it if thats the case dont waste your time cause there is one exactlly like it called BOA coin bend

marty
04-25-2007, 10:55 PM
i agree with synful theres something in ur hands because u dont show them clean..

david misner
04-26-2007, 12:43 AM
ok guys i realize it looks dirty but believe me there is NOTHING IN MY HANDS other then the coin.

zacha
04-26-2007, 01:45 AM
seems like u bent it enough to where its almost completly falling apart and you act like you struggle bending it until it snaps

ps

i also notice a crack on the tails side when its bending and you never flip it to the tails side

you did something to that side....

david misner
04-26-2007, 01:52 AM
there's no crack on the tails side...

zacha
04-26-2007, 01:56 AM
i saw it in the vid in the middle of the bend it looks like its only being held together by the face on the heads side

david misner
04-26-2007, 01:59 AM
it cracked when i bent it in half...

david misner
04-26-2007, 02:00 AM
and if you notice i'm not actually bending the coin im more folding it in half, so naturally the coin cannot crease so it cracks...

zacha
04-26-2007, 02:01 AM
ok u got me

i tryed my theory on a quarter

and

i cracked the quarter in half

david misner
04-26-2007, 02:04 AM

david misner
04-26-2007, 03:08 AM

david misner
04-26-2007, 03:10 AM
hey guys guess what!!!!!!! I am probably going to sell my effect thru MJM Magic!!!! i'll send you the link as soon as it is out!

zacha
04-26-2007, 03:26 AM

when you submit tricks to magic sites do you get a share of the money they get?

RaV
04-26-2007, 03:34 AM
david thats a good trick but it doesn't look so clean but it is still very good..

how long i s da prep before u do da trick:D :D :D :D

david misner
04-26-2007, 03:47 AM
what about it doesn't look clean? and yes you get a profit from selling thru a site. and the set up for the trick takes a few minutes, and then your good to go for tons of performances. if i do sell it through MJM, you won't have to make the gimmick though. I will send you the handmade gimmick and maybe a little somthing extra!

zacha
04-26-2007, 04:44 AM
awesome

im probably gonna buy it

david misner
04-26-2007, 04:53 AM

marty
04-26-2007, 09:19 PM
u got me ill buy how expensive is it :)

david misner
04-26-2007, 11:43 PM
well... im not sure how much I'm discussing marketing with MJM now, but because i have to make and ship the gimmick, it will probably be close to 30 or 40. but that's just my guess, so dont let that dissuade you

zacha
04-26-2007, 11:44 PM
holy crap

im gonna have to save up

Ninja
04-26-2007, 11:50 PM
Hehe, I would buy it But I'm saving up for a Ghost decka with Metal Clip combo. Ive invented a trick this morning but I'm working on it.

Effect: Spectator choose and signs a card. The card is lit on fire and shown so the spectator KNOWS its their signed card. After the card gets all messed up its blown out and set face down. The deck is then spread out on a table face up and their card is perfectly normal and the only face down card. The burnt card is then fliped over reaveling a diffrent card.
The name might be "Cautious"

david misner
04-26-2007, 11:53 PM
sounds pretty cool.
