A Voodoo Ash Trick Question

Hey all, pleasure to meet you, I'm really happy I found this site it seems like a great community. I have a question for this trick. Heres two vid links of the same trick,

Does he simply rub some ash on the palm of their hand before the trick is started? And if so, wouldn't the marks automatically figure out how he did it? Any help would be great thanks!

He has sum ash on the tip of his finger tells the spectator to hold at thier hands ands pretends he is moving the hands to a better spot for him to work while he touches the palm of his hands like u said.

what you do is approach someone with a litte ash on your middle finger "do you want to see a trick? hold out your hands, no here" when he raises their hands he rubbs the ash on their palm, it's a natuaral motion and the mark can't feel it. then you rub some on your hand blah blah, voodoo ghosts and bam:D hoped that helped

There is a lot left out of your post happy0ninja and Magic Dragon. When you do it you also tell them what hand they want to use. Lets say you put the ash on their left hand and they say they want there right. You would be screwed without this importing thing. If they say left, it's their left hand you keep. If they say right, it is the right hand you put down and you use their left. That is when you get more ashes, put it on your hand, rub it, ashes disappears, they open their palm, it is inside their palm.

And in case you are worried, they will not feel the ashes being rubbed on their hand. But you have to lift up their hands while you do it, if you lift up their hands they won't feel the ashes being rubbed on.
