It looks like he palmed it in a way, but the card wasnt in the box, if you watch closely youll see he just pulls ir from underneath

The holed card is gimmicked obviously, as you can see he rarely shows the back of one holed card, since it is gimmicked. It is a red back with a blue piece under it, this way he can slide it out and make it disappear by shooting it into the gimmicked card. When he says he is putting the card between he puts it below the two cards on top, then slides the gimmicked card to show that it is between, even though it is actually not. He places the cards on the bottom of the box as he moves the deck over it, then takes it out over the bottom after the cards vanishes. I believe this is how it is done from watching, correct me if I am wrong.

Ok, This is a neat effect first time I saw it.

The good thing is that this is rather simple.

What you need are two gimmicked cards (the Jacks) Both is Hole is the center.
1 of those gimmicked cards are very special though. The special as a neat
feature in addition to the hole in the box. The special on is a gaffed card much
like the Acrobatic Card that has a blue back gaffed into the back. Probably
using the same technique with dental dam, rubber cement.

The gaffed card works as such,. when the selected card is pushed between the two jacks it also sets the false back behind the top jack. As the top cards are pulled away the top jack and bottom jack are pulled away leaving the selected/ signed card of the top of the deck.

As he waves the jacks as a misdirection he take the box which also has a false face slides the top card under the false face and the deck under the
box.

While he shake he release pressure of the top jack on the bottom which causes the false blue back to reset. Causing the illusion of the card in the middle vanishing.


Then he simply grabs the box with the signed card hidden in a pocket created
buy the real face of the box and the false face. He thn pulls the signed card out of the pocket for the reveal.

ADDED:

You could easily put a little wax or even double sided tape on the box, this way all you have to do is set the box on the top card of the deck.


Yes, Further examination reveals the he transfer the card when he says he is going to move the box. It looks like there is not need for a false face
or pocket in the box. It appears as if he is using tape or wax to pick up the card with the box when he is moving the box.

At the end he then picks up the box while rotating it around controls to the signed card from one side to the other making it appear as if it is coming
out of the box, but anyone watching the video can see that it is coming from compeltely under the face side of the box.

Just wanted to post something on the Gimmick for this effect.

I thought about it and thought that there had to be an easier way then having
to use a gimmicked Gaff card without having to to any splitting. I thought
of something a lot simpler then the modified acrobatic card. Just use a third
card with a hole in it.

Now you are going to have to keep the 3rd card in a double lift during the
performance. When it appears as if you are sliding the signed card between
the two hole cards in reality you are sliding it under the packet of 3 cards
with wholes. Then while the Packet is still on top of the deck you slide
the blue back gimmick card over then pull the packet off of the deck.

Now when it comes for the card to vanish you can shake the package and push
the blue card back into the packet so it is squared.


Alternately You can still use rubber bands or dental dam, glue the dental
dam to the face of the red hole card and the back of the hole blue card.
Obviously in strips above and below the hole. This alternate setup
allows for a much cleaner vanish effect.
