According to this e-book http://preterhuman.net/texts/manuals... 26%20Wax).pdf
wooly nylon is the "source" of invisible thread. has any one tried useing this method of getting IT, and if they have, how does it compare to the stuff that is made specifically for magic.

PLease don't double post. And I got mine at Jo-Annes too. It works basically the same, yet it's not as strong as IT, therefore it breaks more often. IT is a way better deal than buying invisible string. I got 500 yards of wooly nylon for like 5 bucks. I only got like 5-10 yards of invisible string for 5 bucks also.

Ok thanx. and by the way, when i "double posted," I did that so that people could see my thread on the first page. I'm new to these forums, so I don't know if theres another way to do that, or if its alowed at all.

It's ok. It's not allowed here. I see what you were trying to do. Kinda like bump it up so people could see it. But don't worry usually people will post sooner or later. There's no other way to bump it up unless someelse posts. Try not to double post though. And Welcome to LMT.org

Welcome to Learnmagictricks.org. Please try not to double post, you must be patient and wait for responses. If you have something to say that you didn't mention before, you can edit you post and add on from there. Have fun, and you can use the search bar at the top right corner to find answers to any other questions you may have.

I live by Pat Catans and they have a jewelry section. I don't know if Pat-Catans is a national store, but if you don't know, its a craft store.
