Kingsofspades

Hey, its Kingsofspades again. This time I made up another great effect. It isn’t with cards, but is instead a coin trick. I have to admit this isn’t my best trick in my opinion, but I have to say it is pretty good. I’ve done it at least 6 times and its worked perfect each time. Once again, as you can tell by the title, this trick is totally impromptu. I could make this really really long, but I’ll shorten it up just a bit.:)
Effect:
The spectator is asked to take out a quarter and sign it. The quarter is put into the magician’s hands, and then, mysteriously, it bends. The magician tells the spectators that the trick isn’t over yet, and squeezes the quarter again. He opens up his hand to show that the quarter is completely gone! No sleeves! The spectator wants their quarter back, so the magician calls to the other end of the room to find that his friend has the spectator’s signed, bent quarter in his pocket!!!
Sectret:
As complex as this trick looks, it is actually very easy. All you need is some experience in sleight of hand. You start preparing before the trick by signing two coins. If you know for sure who you are performing the trick to (friend, family member, ect.), you must sign both coins with their initials in exactly the same spot: kind of large, just over the president’s head. If you aren’t sure who you’re going to perform this to, make the initials sloppy and smudged; hard to read. After you do this, bend both coins way over (like, so its literally bent in half; all the way over so that it is hard to see the signature, but it is still in sleight view). You can bend them using anything that works. Next, either give one of the signed coins to an associate who is in on the trick or slip it in someone’s pocket when they’re not looking. Just remember who the person is! Palm the other coin in your hand. Now the trick is ready to perform. Walk up to someone and say, “May I borrow a quarter for a trick? Sign your name kind of big just above the guy’s head. Yea, just like that.” After this is done, take the coin from them and do a French drop (or any other way to “disappear” a coin) and have the bent one where it should be. Now pretend to be bending the already bent coin (cover with your fingertips) and then reveal it to be bent! Quickly show them that it is theirs, then take it back and tell them that the trick isn’t over yet. Vanish the coin again using any method which is comfortable for you and then show that your associate has the coin. Or, even better, if you put the coin in someone’s pocket you don’t know, tell everyone to search their pockets- they will be amazed to find that its in their pocket without their knowledge!
Hopefully everyone likes the idea and can use it with other coin tricks. Please comment and have fun performing!:D
ps- if any1 comes up with a name for this trick, please tell me. Thanks:D
