Magic and your family....

Heyy, I was wondering what your parents or gaurdians or siblings or whatever think of you and your magic??? Like because whenever I tell my parents about magic items they always say stuff like " Do you seriously wanna spend that much on a magic trick?" Or like " Why do you need another deck of cards?"
Personally my dad is the one who likes my magic and likes to talk to me about it and stuff. Whenever I show my mum (sorry thats how we spell it in Australia :) ) tricks she seems to say things like "Wow" but kinda also says that to make me happy also but I know she isn't really amazed. And she never cares about how to do it, which I kinda like. My older brother likes my magic and is sometimes amazed but he always likes to try and find out how I did it and would sometimes like sneak into my room and stuff. And sometimes tries to force me to reveal it to him.

Another question I just thought of is if you mind being like forced to do magic. My dad always seems to do this when we have guests over, but I personally don't like it. My dad would say stuff like "Is it magic time Tim?"
I remember one time I was at a restuarant with my family and the waitress was about to give me my ice cream (yes this was a while ago) but my dad said " I will only let you give my son his ice cream if you let him show you a magic trick (because I had a deck of cards in my hand)" The waitress said ok.
But I refused to do it, but then eventually did the trick when you get someone to choose a card and get them to put it on top of the deck when you look at the bottom card, you then shuffle it and go through the cards and find there card. She seemed to like it.
I was quite angry at my dad but he said "You must always be prepared son" Then when she left my table I felt kinda happy inside aswell.
That was my first magic trick to a complete stranger.

Hey Tim, well my family likes it. My mum and dad do but my younger brother and sister don't because I think I have tricked them all out. My older brother and his girlfriend can't get enough of it. My dad, not so much my mum, will tell me to go tricks when people are over like hand me a deck of cards or something. I buy tricks and stuff but the prices are a bit high for postage, do you know any online magic stores with good tricks in Australia? I do a far bit of shopping on acekicker.com.au but he only has much as he has.

i know how you feel, my moms loves my magic and tries to have me show it to everyone but my dad doesn't exactly care about it but he doesn't mind my brothers don't get amazed but thats fine with me but my friends freak out and thats the best

Lol.... today in art we were bored and i quitly grabbed a coin while a couple of wierd kids were staring at me and did coin through elbow(easiest trick ever).... and the rest of the day they were begging me to do a different trick and at lunch thay told some kids that i do magic and the all did the same as you pretty much so i did revolution and it shut them up..... kdis a my school are so easy to amaze.:D

i LOVE cion thorugh elbow and then make it come aout my belly button its so simple but the kids are lked so amazed and whenever i try to show my mom a new effect or something she like doesnt really care "hey mom let me show u this new levitation ove spent 45 hours perfecting "well r u done woth your homework" "no but almos-" "then go do it" "DAMN IT MOM I SPENT ALL DAY PRACTICING THIS NOW YOUR GIONG TO SIT DOWN AND WATCH YOU GOT THAT,PUNK ?

My dad really likes my magic tricks my mom loved it but she passed away a year ago. My dad really supports me and is amazed when I do a trick for him. Yeah sometimes he tells people I do magic(and juggle and play piano, guitar, drums bass, and sing) and they ask me to do a trick most of the time I am repared I am rarely unprepared. I like it when he tells people I do that stuff because then I get a chance to show off.

i hate it when kids at my school forces me to do a magic trick it sucks they even make me do it to teachers i'll show a trick then they say cmon here show it to my friend then over here another friend then a teacher ooo oo show it to that kid and then i eventually get tired of doing magic tricks sumtimes

Cool I never knew about acekicker.com.au but I did know they had an eBay store. I am from Sydney NSW and I have like 2 magic shops that are like 40 minutes away from me. taylorsmagicshop.com.au and heyprestomagic.com.au (they are the shop's sites). I try eBay it is the best place for me to get magic supplies for myself because it is pretty easy.
