yes it was revealed by the masked magicain on youtube just with a pencil. he had a pencil sharpen down to the smallest it could be and it was taped to his thumb. he pretended to write a prediction number but he really wrote nothing. then when the person says there number you write in on the paper with there thumb while you make small talk.

(try not to make it obvious when your writing with you thumb)
