Hahaha! I had a feeling they used something similar to a Nestorizer... so how do they "end examinable" as claimed?

Gotta love truth in advertising, or lack thereof. LOL. It's like saying an ID ends clean, if you do a deck switch.

Here's what the website says.
The STATIC DVD was directed by Dan and Dave and shot in High Definition. Everything you need to perform the effect is included with purchase, including ample supply of the special "something" you'll need to make the magic happen. Soo, basically that means it is a gimic, most likely something elastic that can build pressure to shoot the card out. Also he says its simple so i'm thinking of a special type of rubber band. |

It IS a gimmick
it is NOT I.E.T. as sold by mesika, nor is it a loop, because loops are not strong enough. But it IS an invisible elastic thread. They claim that a lay man (and even some magicians) will not spot the thread on the gimmicked card. And no, I donīt know type of thread it is, Iīve been searching high and low and canīt find what itīs called or where to buy it - the gimmick is not an invention of Dan and Dave, itīs been around for a while... canīt remember the name of the book it appears in. If anyone finds out what the thread is called then post it here! It seems to be some kind of elastic fishing line? |

it might be super thin nylon, I can neither confirm nor deny that itīs super thin nylon.
![]() Iīm trying to find out what type of thread it is so I can buy some and try it out. Dan and dave currently hold the exclusive rights to the product (but not the thread which is probably why no-one knows what type of thread it is!). However, at the end of the month this trick will be available for magic stores to buy, so you might be able to buy it at your local magic store. Iīve seen a picture of how they supply the thread, and it does NOT come on a spindle (I was hoping that there would be some kind of labelling if it was supplied on a spindle in order to be able to find the thread elsewhere). ![]() I donīt know how many meters of thread is supplied with the DVD. this looks to be the thread, but I canīt be certain: http://www.wizardcraft.com/thread_magic.htm (second last product on the page) - 200 meters of thread also supplied with a DVD. I know how to make the gimmick, itīs simple, finding an elastic thread that is invisible when held to the face (or back) of a playing card is the hard part. The thread also has to be strong enough to move about half of the deck. Loops simply donīt have the power to move half of the deck unless they are hooked up. For this trick the gimmick is in the deck, you are not "hooked up" in any way. ![]() |
