I'd say there's potential. However, if you want better theater, then you should slam your hand on the cups faster. That way, people will get really shocked. Plus, doing it slowly might make people think that you're just feeling which one has the most resistance to move...unless that's what you're doing. And also, there's less risk in it, from the audience's perspective, because slower means you won't hurt yourself as much, theoretically, if you get it wrong. Not that anyone wants you to get it wrong, but, just for theater.

yer,i was just that the Styrofoam cups i used were a bit to hard so it was hard to slam down on them,cheers.

A little known fact is that stryo cups have small numbers already printed on the bottoms which are different....and you can also use your fingernail to mark one as well
This allows a cup to be selected as the spiked cup 1st...then you turn your back and let the spec. move the cups around (not moving the spike) So as the above poster indicated...you are peeking with this method. Last edited by Bubba Smith; 11-07-2009 at 06:30 AM.. |

the only thing i have to add is that on the last two cups as it seems like a tradition ur supose to go "place my hand over cup number two." then act like ur going to smash it but actually smash the other cup. it builds suspense while dragging ur audience closer.
